Stopped by here at midday on a long multi-state road trip. It gave the pup a chance to stretch his legs while we took turns going inside the store for coffee and a potty break. The very friendly lady who waited on me got my order adjustments perfectly for a tasty iced coffee on a hot (95 degrees) day. The restrooms are locked but she was happy to unlock it for me and had my drink waiting when I emerged. Friendly staff, quick service. Enjoyed the cool refreshing drink on a long drive!

Been to a bunch of Starbucks- like the rest of you, but never met such friendly baristas who actually liked their customers and it showed. I always get a weird twist on my cafe mocho or carmel macchiato and they never screw this up. Great place to bring your laptop and study or work too!

This store Cafe has a bright 🌞 atmosphere. As soon as I walk in I get a Starbucks greeting. Cafe, drive-thru or Mobile order-this store gets me drink, and they take the time to answer my questions about the new drinks I try. It’s also fun how this store decorates for the holiday, and don’t forget about a Puppacino for your FurBaby! This is a Cafe that I could meet or chill anytime of day.

I waited for 30 mins and 4 people after me got the orders first I only ordered one thing and all they did was talk and made me wait which I don’t usually mind but it was empty when I came in both in the drive thru and inside but I had to wait for them to give everyone who showed up after me their orders first I don’t know I usually come here and it’s always so nice

For some reason they do not share the bathroom code. Having to wait 5 minutes for an employee to open the bathroom every time is so inappropriate. There are 2 restrooms and one of them is “for employees only.” Pretty sure Starbucks central would not be ok with this, but whatever. Will visit other Starbucks from now on

The restaurant was crowded for Saturday breakfast, we were greeted by Mark and seated pretty quickly. We had two children with us and the kids loved their pancakes!
We had the Cajun shrimp omelette, chicken fried steak and pastrami. We all enjoyed our breakfast. Service was a bit slow, food arrived without any silverware! Only 4 sets of silverware were brought to our party of 6. They may have been shorthanded as everyone else is these days. Thank you mark for the hospitality, we will visit again!

Really good food, from fresh ingredients. We had eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, and strawberry crepes, with coffee and mimosas. Everything was so good!

We went in for dinner the other night and were pleasantly surprised to see how clean it was. The new owner seems to be making some much needed improvements. Glad to see they kept the old staff, they are great. Not sure why they use a tray for one drink, and OMG, what is that smell in the bathroom hallway? Overall a good experience.

Wait staff is cheerful and sweet, coffee is good, but the kitchen needs work. Slow, and overcooked let’s say burnt hash browns and sausages. Portions are generous but not edible. New owner has to knuckle down on kitchen times and quality. Nice decor.

I’m from out of town so this was my second experience here and it was amazing! Beautiful brunch food items and wonderful pour over coffees!

I got the mushroom omelette and my husband got the Moroccan eggs. Both beautifully cooked, delicious, and aesthetically pleasing as well.

Our daughters shared the toast flight. Didn’t leave a morsel on the plate so that’s saying a lot!

The counter culture coffee they used was well balanced and bright. Very delicious.

The space is amazing with lots of places to sit and study, work, or chat. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Bakersfield!

I got a mushroom omelette from this place and some dripped coffee. The slices of bread were delicious, also got some poppy seed bread and it was super good. I found this place to be a miraculous good place worth even driving to. The place was so full when we got there, but the line to order doesn’t seem too much after you order and find a spot to seat. They have a nice back and side patio, so there is plenty of seating space. I really enjoyed going to this place and eating their food. It was unexpectedly great. Everyone was very nice as well. Keep up the great job!

Went for the first time with a friend, we were attended right away & our server was super friendly! The burgers, fries, matcha were delicious. This is now my favorite cafe in Bakersfield. Most definitely gonna come back 🙂

I got the vegan burrito with egg and cheese, and a blueberry mimosa. One friend got the vegan burrito with an egg and my other friend just got the classic vegan burrito. They mixed up my friends burritos, the one who ordered with an egg the wrapper had egg written on it but had no egg in hers. My friend who just did the classic vegan ended up with the egg on his. The blueberry lemonade mimosa was just delightful. Nice atmosphere. Don’t think I could handle the disco music all day.

If you’re also in one of those couples where one of you is a sweet and the other savory – this is your spot. The food is simple but expertly prepared. The staff is friendly and takes pride in Smitten. Try the Moroccan eggs, sit outside in the shade and let the funk roll over you.

Pleasantly surprised, the food is great! I actually LOVED their soup of the day (veggie with beef)! We had a lot of food (portions are big for omelette, pancakes, etc) for a total of $22 😃

Mossman’s coffee shop and catering have been a Bakersfield staple for close to 60 years. They have a second location in the south/west, on Wible rd, south of Planz rd.
Someone once described Mossman’s coffee shop as a no thrill, but excellent food coffee shop.
I ordered bacon and eggs with pancakes. It was delicious. Two pancakes could feed two people, they are huge.
Mossman’s is know for their delicious fish and chips, best biscuits and gravy and large pancakes.

Made a first time visit to this spot over the weekend. The Mud Slide blended coffee is the best! However, as it was my first time in the area, I wasn’t aware of the amount of homeless. Several of them were causing a scene outside of the coffee shop and it didn’t feel like a safe or welcoming environment. I’ll be back, but I’ll take my items to-go next time.

This cafe has great coffee with a robust menu of options. The food looks nice and people seemed to love it, although I didn’t order any food myself. Whether you want to spend a few hours working (lots of plugs and wifi, very hard to come by at some places) or catch up with friends or have a study group or attend one of the open mic nights, it seems like this place really does have it all.

Coffee Latte was great! Tried the vegetarian frittata for the first time, it was delicious, and hearty! Service is good, but for the long line almost bout the door… there has to be more than two people attending both orders and for a barista. Place is casual, not too trendy but friendly and plenty of seating in and outside.

Honestly I’ve been coming here for an entire month eating this sausage casserole and I’ve lost more than 5 pounds it’s delicious and filling! I’m working upstairs and having this place so close is a huge plus. Staff is always friendly – the line can get kinda long 4-5 people sometimes but the staff is always hustling on orders and friendly. Atmosphere is chill. Couches are a big plus, tables outside are decent. Five star!

Pro: good food, good people, wifi
Cons: lines can get long 2-3 mins wait.

Dagney’s Coffee Co is a really great coffee shop with good beer on tap and wine by the glass. They have a nice amount of seating and are one of the few always places downtown that is open late. The staff are very friendly and the drinks that I have had have always been well made. They also have a nice amount of baked goods and snacks too, and also sell coffee beans. If you are looking for something to do after dinner or drinks downtown or just good coffee anytime and an alternative to the big brands, I definetly recommend it.
