Their specialty mochas sound incredible. It wasn’t the right time for a mocha for me, but if we’re ever back, I’ll try one!!

Lavender hibiscus lemonade was delicious!!! Light and refreshing!

Pistachio muffin was good and staff was very friendly. Definitely a lot of space too for people to study, read and relax. 👍🏼👍🏼

Warm customer service and amazing food + coffee. The barista took my order and was really kind as I asked a lot of questions about food and drinks. I finally ordered an egg and cheese panini bagel and iced coffee that came out shortly. The bagel was amazing with the crispy melted cheese and ice coffee tasted strong but great. Really enjoyed this shop and can’t wait to be back for more of their drinks and food because you simply can’t go wrong with Michelangelo’s.

I always need coffee, so this place was the perfect spot for that! I got the Mocha Chiller, and it is super delicious! Staff were extremely friendly, and there was no wait at all. Cashier was very nice and engaged, and liked her job. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick coffee!

Excellent selection of coffees and teas for visitors in downtown Madison. Steps away from the capitol building, this convenient shop is worth a visit if you need a cuppa on the go or want to sit and savor with friends.

Very nice coffee shop. Loved their signature drinks! Good coffee, a variety of snacks. The artwork inside was very cool! Perfect place to meet with friends, study and work or simply stop for a coffee break.

Colectivo is a cute little coffee shop right on the edge of the Wisconsin state capitol, providing a variety of reasonably priced drinks and snacks in a friendly atmosphere.

The staff were kind and polite, and we enjoyed the view of the capitol, sitting in the cool of the shop with our drinks. 😋

All of Colectivo’s Madison shops are great, but in warmer months when the front room’s windows are open, this is my favorite. Iced lattes and smoothies are a go-to for sitting along the storefront and watching the hustle and bustle of the capital square.

Provides more variety with a rotating blend coffees and teas beyond the standard menu options if you’re looking to try something new. Excellent sandwiches and a nice outdoor seating area when the harsh mistress of WI weather allows.

Fan since Alterra – but this is sad. Non-hyperbolically the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Muffin was rock hard and cheese was wax-like. They need to change this up ASAP. Reminds me of government-issued elementary school lunch.

I love everything else about Colectivo and their locations.

I’ve been a customer here for years now. Colectivo made my favorite turkey sandwich in town. Sadly, on my most recent visit, I learned that they changed the bacon they use to a lower quality, thinner pre-made type. I also no longer saw a sign they used to display about the local butchers they would partner with for high quality meats. It’s really exhausting and disappointing to continue seeing so many businesses lower the quality of their products or services while keeping prices the same or even raising them. I hope Colectivo doesn’t head further in this direction, because at some point I will no longer be able to justify a lower quality item for the price of eating out and expecting better quality than what I can make at home. Also – they don’t recycle.

We were in the area, and came in as a family to get some drinks to go. Our kids ordered smoothies which they found were really good, the strawberry banana and the orange mango. We ended up getting some iced coffees to go, and they were good. Coffee’s came pretty quickly. Place had some open seating, but it was pretty full for a Saturday morning. The patio in the back only had a few people, so there was some room back there. The employees were really friendly and helpful.

Just went to try their coffee and get some work done. Super loud, and pretty crowded inside with not many places to sit and even fewer outlets. I judge coffee quality by the house roast black. It was just alright. But I can’t say anything about the other items on their menu. Check it out if your curious, but it will definitely not become my new haunt. In my opinion, it’s excellent for hanging out and reconnecting with friends. But if you’re trying to study, look elsewhere.

Indie Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops/brunch spots in Madison. I first started coming here in college and I keep coming back because it’s just so good. Great waffles, tasty breakfast sandwiches, and unique seasonal coffees as well!

Summer time and sipping… Indie Coffee meets the mark of hot fresh coffee, stellar service and bakery items. Taka a step in and Indie Coffee greets their guests with a warm welcome regardless of how many hats their server; barista, cook and cashier is juggling. The decor is cozy, feels like a neighborhood bar inside with a patio nestled under shady trees outside. Their endless cup in a large mug quenched my thirst and need to wake my senses. Two regular brews to choose from, with one decaf option… I chose the Indie House blend which was well roasted, a bit nutty and floral. Several milk choices, cream and sugars to customize your pour. They also have a sign with monthly blended iced teas and smoothies. Bakery items are mainly on the sweet side although the kitchen can prepare savory breakfast items. This was only my first visit to Indie Coffee and certainly not my last.

    Indie coffee. Madison, Wisconsin.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their product. They have unique and considered breakfast specialties. There is a small patio in the back. Indie Coffee is unique without being pretentious. The prices are reasonable, unlike many “boutique” restaurant/cafes. Indie coffee has a refreshingly welcoming environment.

This “attitude” is reflected in the quality of customers they attract.

I wish I had wandered this way during my first week in Madison and not on my last week in Madison.

A cozy coffee shop, nice to hangout with friends or a second office for working at home persons. The quality of the espresso drinks is good overall and getting more stable after Covid time. This is a great place for me to be a long-term customer.

Easy going, spacious, and pleasant environment. Mocha shake is fantastic, breakfast burrito wasn’t nearly as good as what I was hoping for, but was tolerable. Would go again for drinks, probably not for food.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is so cozy. The prices are also very good (cheaper than Starbucks and many other local coffee shops). Plus, the coffee tastes better! Highly recommended.

Love it here, everyone is very kind, and they get your food and drinks ready as quick as they can. It does take a bit longer for orders to come out during rush hours, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The drink options are great!

Great savory crepes (flour and buckwheat) and good wheat scones. No view of the capital indoors but the outdoor standing room has a view up the street. Seating is a little tight but cozy. Parking garage is right nextdoor so it’s a great breakfast on a walk to the capital.

Cute little place with simple but delicious offerings. Parking garage is across the street as well as street parking is available. The space is small so it can get busy quickly. Highly recommend for crepes cravings.

Super cute and quaint. Coffee and food selection was good for such a small place. Ham and Arugula crepe was delicious. Small but efficient space to work

Great espresso and wonderful baristas. The crepes are tasty as well and made with locally sourced ingredients.

Just a small shop but filled with great coffee, freshly baked muffins, cupcakes (sometimes) & crepes to order. The staff are very attentive and a joy to small-talk with early in the morning.
