It is a cozy little place in downtown and this is my impression of visiting it for the first time. Ordered ice vanilla latte with a egg sandwich added chicken on everything bagel. First off, the iced vanilla latte was creamy and delicious! I am picky with my coffee drinks and this one seemed to be made the right way. It wasn’t too milk or too sweet, just the right amount of espresso, milk and ice.

The everything bagel and egg sandwich with added chicken was also delicious! The upstairs dinning area was nice and relaxing, would definitely be going there again for a bunch or break fast.

It was our first time there and the space is very cute. The upstairs has a very small cafe feel with local art and exposed brick. During their breakfast time it became quite busy and loud.

The service there was phenomenal. Everyone was very friendly and when we asked for lemon for the tea, they went out of their way to get some.

My mom had the breakfast bagel with avocado and said the bagel was good. I had gotten the breakfast burrito and that’s really where they lost the one star. I think I just set my expectation a bit high, but I was hoping for more. It wasn’t a bad flavor, it was just mostly beans.

What an awesome spot! Decided to stop here with my daughter after a stressful week and I’m so happy we did. The food was amazing. The workers were so nice. And I just absolutely loved the motivational notes in the wall. I really needed a pick me up and this was it. We will be back for sure (:

Cute local place, great coffee and delicious food. Parking is tough downtown especially on the weekend so you have to keep that in mind but it’s great and reasonably priced. Lovely place to go upstairs, bring your computer and do work or study.

I’ve lived here 25 years and I’ve been to every coffee shop in Raleigh. They make some of the best lattes you can get around here. It’s a popular spot and gets busy in the mornings, so sometimes you can end up waiting 20 minutes if you order food. The chicken biscuit is a great breakfast deal. If you’re visiting from out of town you should stop by and enjoy a coffee outside!

My wife and I came from out of state. It was a great coffee shop with very fast service. We came from out of state and was greeted with such kindness. We quickly found out how nice the gentlemen behind the counter was when my wife accidentally dropped her plate of food. I was going to get another blt and salad but surprisingly he gave her a new sandwich. We never experienced this level of kindness in our state. He saw it from the counter and cleaned it up. We were immensely grateful and will come back when we visit again!! Thank you so much

Really nice coffee shop. The oat milk latte was perfectly prepared with beautiful latte art. The food was quite good. Would have been nice if the jammy egg had been served warm but that’s a minor complaint. Everything was fresh and yummy. Highly recommend the donuts which are made to order. Super cute inside, too.

The staff eggwich was the best breakfast/brunch item I’ve had in years. Just wow. Coffee was good too. Wait was fast, and it was busy the whole time. Great menu and good ambiance. A little warm since the morning sun was coming in the windows hot. Would visit again.

simple and different. Simple drinks, simple food, simple atmosphere. If you work remotely, great place to go and just have a good cup of coffee. Avocodo Toast was pretty good and popular on the menu. Not alot of choices especially none meat eaters but good atmosphere none the less.

Sir Walter Coffee in Raleigh, NC has tons of unique coffee drinks and they also have craft cocktails! Right now they have a special Valentine’s Day menu of drinks and I tried the one called Love Potion! It’s a mocha cold brew with strawberry cream and tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry! We also tried their blackout latte with charcoal and their Walter Raleigh that tastes like peanut butter! All of the drinks were delicious and there’s so many more unique drinks on their menu. They also have an entire craft cocktail menu with unique cocktails like Cherry Sour, Espresso Martini, Tiramisu Latte, & more!

Casual coffee shop with comfortable seating and easy atmosphere. Coffee itself is tea good, light bites and sandwiches are delicious. They got a cocktails as well which is super convenient in the evening , didn’t get a chance to try it ). Service is quick and prices are reasonable. Cool spot

For dining in, you can get some of the best lattes in Raleigh and the staff are all very chill friendly people. The food is delicious but very expensive and slow to make. The space is comfortable, cozy and generally welcoming. Always a great place to go for a quick and tasty coffee.

Super cool place; I really loved the atmosphere. I had the honey Lavender latte, it was great!
I really wanted to give this place five stars, but I took took away one because of the lack of friendliness. Don’t get me wrong, no one was rude, just a blah attitude that didn’t seem like the staff really wanted to be there today. However, I would go back and recommend this place.

The decor is nice. Industrial with exposed ceiling. Lots of artwork. There is an outdoor seating area shared with the Gelato place across the square. The music is way too loud. There were dead flowers on the table. Regular coffee is pretty good. My Dad ordered a macchiato which cost $4.59 and was only about 1/3 Cup of liquid. The menu did not indicate size. Tiniest coffee cup I have ever seen. Rather a disappointment for him.

Cup a Joe is definitely a coffee shop with a vibe. Baristas were really friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they have daily specials (helps narrow down their very large menu). It’s also great that they’re open into the evening. I had a king four shot espresso with hazelnut and it was really good. I’ll definitely be back.

First time here as usually I would go to the one in Mission Valley before they closed there. I had the Hong Kong Iced Milk Tea with Boba. The milk tea was not bad. Maybe a little too sweet, but was overall good. The boba was somehow really tough (not chewy) and barely fit through the straw — making it a little hard to drink the boba. Would definitely come back to try another drink. They have outside seating and free parking spaces in the back of the building.

I had the pleasure of visiting Cup of Joe on a recent trip downtown and was blown away by the quality of their espresso. As a coffee enthusiast, I have high standards when it comes to the espresso I drink and Cup of Joe did not disappoint.

Upon walking in, the atmosphere of the shop was warm and inviting. The baristas behind the counter greeted me with a friendly smile and were more than happy to answer any questions I had about their menu. I opted for a classic espresso and was impressed by the bold and rich flavor of the shot. It was smooth and well-balanced, with notes of dark chocolate and a hint of sweetness.

In addition to the excellent espresso, the service I received at Cup of Joe was top-notch. The baristas were knowledgeable about the various types of beans they had available and were able to make recommendations based on my preferences. They even took the time to explain the different brewing methods and helped me select the best option for my taste.

Aside from the delicious coffee, Cup of Joe also offers a variety of pastries and sandwiches, which I didn’t have the chance to try but looked very appetizing. The seating area was comfortable and had a cozy, community-driven feel to it. It was the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Overall, my experience at Cup of Joe was fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone in the [city] area. The espresso was top-quality and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to visit again and try some of their other offerings. If you’re a coffee lover like me, be sure to give Cup of Joe a try – you won’t be disappointed!

This coffee shop has been a recreational staple in Raleigh for years and we hope it continues. Want a real cup of coffee? They will provide it. Want a knowledgeable, professional staff? They will provide it. The “real” coffee shop experience is worth the visit.

A quaint coffee house with a fantastic staff. The coffee was great and the food was good too. A very relaxing place to enjoy good friends and drink. I was sorry that I didn’t get more than one of those fantastic peanut butter cookies because the one we shared was delicious. We’ll be back!

Great place to work! People hang out here for hours so the morning crew typically takes up all the available tables. Also, breakfast is only served til around 2 or 2:30 PM. After that time, the cafe is less full and it’s easy to get a table in the late afternoon. The tables around the edges have plenty of outlets. There area behind the bookshelf (which has books for you to read!) has some tables that feel a bit more private. Also, there is nice shaded outdoor seating — however that is a bit limited.

The staff are super and the food is good. Also, they serve wine by the glass and you can buy bottles here.

Not sure what bakery to try? Try NoRa Cafe. They either make their own or have local bakeries delivered. This give you the opportunity to try other bakeries without having to drive all over town. I had the rosemary/olive English muffin with raspberry hibiscus iced tea. My friends had the cinnamon muffin & chocolate chip muffin with a coffee.🥧🍰🧁🍪
    All treats were so yummy.
If you’re there before 2:30 you can have breakfast or lunch.
Their coffee ☕️ is local ~ Carrboro Coffee Roasters.

The cutest coffee shop! This is one of my favorite, go-to places to get coffee. If I’m not in a hurry I like to grab a book in their little library area and enjoy my coffee while reading a book. They have plenty of homemade pastry options. They also make refrigerated goodies like chicken salad (and vegan!) as well as homemade deviled eggs. Yum!! NoRa cafe has plenty of outside seating (with umbrellas!) because it can get pretty hot out in the summer time. I definitely enjoy small coffee shops compared to Starbucks or other big name coffee shops. Staff are very nice and always welcoming. Support local!

I love so many things about this cafe. 1) The variety of drinks and treats. They have the largest gluten-free selection I’ve found at any cafe in the triangle. 2) The hours. Not many cafes are open later in the evening. 3) Atmosphere. Plenty of parking, Variety of Indoor and outdoor seating, art, books, and friendly staff.
From a gluten-free preservative I do like that most the gluten free treats are in their own case. JP’s and Rising Thistle are dedicated gluten-free bakeries. Shout out to Rising Thistle for the amazing Lemon Poppy Seed bread. This was the first I’ve heard of this bakery and also the first time I’ve had anything lemon poppy seed in many years. It’s not a common gluten-free option.
They also had gluten-free treats from 9th street bakery which to my knowledge is not dedicate gluten free. And I am unaware of their cross-contamination practices so for those who have celiacs or more extra sensitivities be aware.

I’ve lived in Raleigh for the past couple years and have tried to go to every local coffee shop, but never noticed this little treasure up north.

Cafe Nora is a fantastic little shop with a cozy and funky vibe. The selection of pastries, sandwiches, and coffee options are fantastic. With Michaels English Muffins, home made muffins, and more this place is great!

I had a Mocha, as is my norm when going to any coffee shop, and it was great; although, they do not make their own sauces so I’d recommend getting a latte for anyone who is stopping in unless you don’t mind the syrups.

Still great place and nice character with friendly staff!

    Update:
Decided to go back to finally try the sandwiches. Sadly I just missed the mark, and they are no longer serving sandwiches. Not sure if temporary or permanent. Will say Michaels English Muffins are still on point and I tried one of the pop tarts which were amazing.
