I went in a week day and the service was amazing. No wait. The food came out quick. The staff was friendly, and my coffee always stayed full. The pancakes were amazing but I ordered the ham breakfast panini and it tasted a little off to me. There was something sweet in it which threw off the savory sandwich taste. Overall amazing experience just next time I go back I think I would order something else. Also the ham comes in a super thick slice.

Terrific food and service! Their skillets are amazing, as are the cinnamon roll pancakes. There’s usually a bit of a wait to get seated, but you can give them your number and they’ll call you when there’s a table ready for you.

Very clean, friendly wait staff, open floor plan with lots of tables to accommodate larger groups. Great dessert choices. Prices reasonable but somethings look like they are included in the meal but are actually billed individually. So, make sure to ask so when you check-out you aren’t shocked at the difference in price. Food was very good. Highly recommend 👌

Phenomenal breakfast restaurant. Every time we visit family here in Moline we find an excuse to eat here. The servers are especially kind and patient, even with my big noisy family. The food is delicious and exceptional portion size. Upscale eating for a more than reasonable price. I liked my Mediterranean omelette. After taking a 20% daddy tax on the kiddo’s cinnamon roll pancakes, I’m already planning my next trip. Today, they made my wife’s birthday special. Very appreciative. Easy recommend.

Great breakfast spot!! The beef cheek skillet was great. I loved the Mexican flavors with the salsa and guacamole and the tender beef. Only thing that would have made it better was if it was hash browns instead of country potatoes. Also enjoyed the cinnamon pancakes!

Great service be going here my whole life!! Great Manager as well!! He handled the rowdy teenagers that come there after school every day very well too . He was talking hanging out with them asking if they start in football . The guy deserves a raise !! It would be utter chaos if someone else had tried to do his job . I know that from experience being one of those same kids years ago . Definitely recommend this McDonald’s

Went in today like I normally do to get large iced coffee and the ice coffee machine was down. Asked to speak to a manager because it was an inconvenience that the machine wasn’t working so I figured they let me use my app to pay for a drink and they could swap it for another. Manager told me their was nothing they could do about the machine and refused to give me a complimentary drink and I’m a regular. Rude. Unreasonable and nasty attitude from Ramon..I will be calling corporate to complain. Whatever happened to customer service on a easy fix. I will not be patronizing this establishment again.

Went thru drive up. It was busy, but went thru line quickly. Received my food as well as a kids meal. Forgot to tell them up on ordering I wanted the Halloween promotion of a pumpkin pail. I told the person at the first window that I needed the pail, by the time I reached the second window it was there with the kids meal in the pail and my food. Second window made sure to ask if it was my order. Everything was correct. My McRib was wonderful. Glad they were back again!

The staff is always so nice when you eat-in. And despite being busy with drive-thru, they always get my order right 🙂

The customer service was horrible. They open the window and just stick their hand out for the payment. Always messing up our order. Have to go in and wait for them to make what they forgot or fix what they messed up. Service and quality have went downhill.

It’s a McDonald’s. The staff is a little lax with their conversations, but what do you expect with a young diverse work force? I thought the manager was a little too forthcoming about one of her employees and the issues associated. Service was fast. Main room was clean bathrooms needed a little help, but I did come after lunch. Was a little shocked at how expensive they have become since Covid.

Soooo yeah. Decided to swing by and get a mc double fries and a coke. Was shocked about how sky high the prices were. Were talking 3.59 for a large fry, 2.79 for the mcdouble. Ok sure whatever no big deal. I’ll just pay it. I get the reasoning for the increase. What I don’t understand is the need to serve me stale fries and a burger on a stale bun. I don’t care how you justify the price, There is no justification for the quality. I literally felt robbed. You obviously need the 8.12 more than I do if you have to cut that many corners on quality.
I hope it was worth it to you. Getting stale everything just shows this store is shameless.
I hope the next customer doesn’t get robbed like I just did. Thanks for nothing

Drive through service is good. My orders are often complex and they work hard to make sure I get the right thing.

McDonald’s isn’t “fine dining” but they usually do what I need quickly and easily.

Representative took orders from 5 different cars and counting before taking our order, after being the first ones there.

I ordered and got jerked off. Dropped my order off and talked to the manager and got jerked off again. So I don’t think I will never go back I was treated Very bad. This restaurant needs help with employees they don’t like there job. Don’t take it out on the costume. I feel I wasted my time talking to manager.

Absolute best best of coffee I’ve had in a long time!! Was traveling through the area and googled for a coffee shop. So glad I came here. Don’t miss this place if you are passing through the quad-cities. Definitely worth it!! Would’ve given 10 stars if I could’ve. We had the 3-shot Americano. Superbly roasted coffee and brewed by people who know how to make espresso.

The egg sandwhich was a 10/10 absolutely amazing!! Minus two points cause my manager say her chorizo was tooo salty. The drip coffee is not all that great, going back tomorrow to try the New Orleans styled iced coffee.
✭✭✭✭✭ By Legna Ricaann_ (7 months ago)
I can’t say too much about it besides, the fried egg sandwiches are tasty, the New Orleans styled ice coffee not really NOLA style and off putting. Hot chocolate is good enough even though it’s steamed. Overall, it was a decent choice for breakfast.

Easily the best peanut butter cookies in the QC and don’t get me started on the chorizo breakfast sandwich. DELICIOUS! I recently tried the New Orleans style coffee and now it’s the only coffee I get. Ifeel like this place should be part of the QC identity.

I was introduced to “REDBRAND COFFEE” by one of our tour guides connected with the AMERICAN MELODY. By the way his name is Jeff. It’s hard to find good coffee or latte’s while working. I enjoy every sip. And now your “Fried Egg sandwich “ DELICIOUS!

I remember the space Cool Beanz occupied at the top of the hill going up 30th street. They had a fireplace, a mix of comfy chairs and tables, and board games! I remember coming there with friends to catch any manner of live music. When I moved back to the area a few years ago, I remember being almost crestfallen that they appeared to be closed.

Finding out Cool Beanz had reopened next to Bent River in Rock Island was, of course, a delightful discovery. I thus decided to visit on a day off work after the New Year.

The new space is a little cozier than I remember their last one. It definitely retains many of the features of the shop on 30th – there’s a fireplace in one of the corners, plenty of tables and chairs, and a collection of board games in another corner. The overall decoration and trappings of this shop make it just a little darker and more intimate than the former, however. The two largest walls in the space are a mix of red masonry brick and white painted concrete blocks with small accent lights spaced throughout. Blending well with the red brick is the concrete slab floor, which has been painted a dark red and partially covered with several large area rugs. Though some of the ceiling is exposed with conduit and cable running to lighting, outlets, and other terminations, the center also has a black drop ceiling suspended, which covers most of the HVAC ductwork and also provides additional ceiling fans and additional incandescent lighting in a modern looking centerpiece. The whole of the decoration and design combine to result in a cozy, yet eclectic atmosphere.

The only thing that detracted from the atmosphere, and at that only slightly, was the choice of music during the visit. The entirety of the time I was in the space, Cool Beanz had an 80s/90s/00s mix of pop music playing. On the whole, this was fine – it’s not offensive in its content and it was played at a noise level that was condusive to quiet conversation or individual study/work. I also fully acknowledge I don’t know what Cool Beanz is playing most of the time for music. I guess this paragraph is more about me and my preferences than it is a out Cool Beanz…I prefer a mix of light classical, Indie pop/rock, or something more eclectic with my hot beverages. But it was quiet and not overwhelming during my visit, and as such I can’t really complain.

I opted on this trip for what is a common choice for other visits to coffee shops – a tea and a pastry. Specifically, I got a jasmine green tea and a chocolate chip cookie. The tea, while definitely green tea, lacked what I would expect from a jasmine green – smooth, slightly sweet, and a little floral. A solid green tea it was, nonetheless. I was far happier with the cookie. It was dense, almost more biscuit-like in texture and crumbly than soft and cakey. I definitely prefer this crumblier, denser style pastry when I’m having a hot tea.

I’m definitely happy that Cool Beanz is open and thriving again in Rock Island. I look forward to returning to sit by the fireplace again with a tea in the future. See you next time!

I have actually been there twice. Both times the staff was attentive, friendly and accommodating. The environment was inviting and not too loud or chaotic.Yesterday I was there for the second time. I was having a rough morning. The staff without knowing were cheerful and custom made my order. It was delicious. They checked up on me and genuinely cared that it was to my liking. One staff that had come in after I had ordered and was clearing some tables. I stopped her to tell her how much my visit made my day easier. She took a few minutes and sat down to talk with me. Now that’s personal attention. I may have found a place here in this new to town…well actually I have. They care about what they do and the coffee and food is amazing!

The new location of Cool Beanz suits this coffee shop much better than the last place. The atmosphere is way better where it is now. The staff here is always so friendly and they take the care to get to know their regulars too. My boyfriend absolutely loves this coffee shop and goes regularly, every time I tag along he’s catching up with the baristas! The coffee itself has never disappointed and they always have a variety of tasty foods to choose from. Cool Beanz even makes energy brews now, fruity energy drink mixes that are sure to brighten your day! If you’re unsure of what to get, my go to is The Quad Iced, but it’s just as good hot! ☺️☕💞

Very disappointed in service and quantity of drink. We were a group of four, first in line, ordered 2 coffees, smoothie, and energy drink. 32 minutes later we had all four drink served to us and then the lady told as she did not charge us for the smoothie. (Yes she did, look at the receipt). Energy drink was Red Bull with little blue raspberry flavoring. Smoothie was 1 banana with ice , water, and whip cream. Very disappointed in the quality. On another note the coffee was good.

New location on 24th Street next to Bent River Brewing. Same great coffee and excellent new location. It’s my new favorite place in Rock Island and my regular morning stop. Enjoyed their previous location, but this new place is just as good.
