I’ve been here many times for breakfast. Their coffee must be the most unique one in the west coast. It tastes really special and creative. I would like to say that Philz has novelty and passion in making coffee. I also love their hot croissants, which has been the best coffee mate.

One of my favorite coffee spots in San Jose. This location is one of the oldest in the Bay Area, and I’ve been coming for over a decade. The coffee here is amazing. The house blend Tesora mixed with cream is a treat, and the ice mint mojito is the perfect drink on a warm day. Seating indoors and out. If you’re a coffee lover, you will love Philz.

Apparently very popular as the run out of expressos before 10 am! I tried the Turkish delight with a hint of cardamom and it was delicious! Would definitely love more clarity in the menu and more information about pastries and other product, there was a long but fast line outside to get coffee but no menu available for people to see until they get to the cashier making the decision there. The place is nice and simple but the coffee is so good that I wish it could be enjoyed in a better way.

This location is my favorite location. No question about it! All of the favorite Philz coffee drinks, a kitchy/chill atmosphere to hang out in while you sip your coffee. Most of all, excellent service from the baristas! The young gentleman who works the back station making drinks for mobile pickup and DoorDash orders is especially competent. Always courteous!

Love this Philz, it is the OG after all. The baristas are friendly and fast! The coffee is hot and full of love!!
I tried out the new plant-based breakfast Sammy, and it is awesome! The ingredients all make this sandwich taste like the not-so-good-for-you versions of a sausage egg and cheese sando. And that is the best part 😀

The best thing about this place is the location, the outdoor terrace and the atmosphere. Coffee just average, I have given this place a few chances now and it’s just not there. Just check out how my flat white looked like (I actually asked if that was the standard and they said yes). The pastries are average as well – croissant and almond croissant weee just disappointing . Really wanted this place to give a chance…come here for the neighbourhood vibe, don’t expect barista quality coffee

Descent place with a cool vibe, we stopped by here to try their coffee. The cappuccino we ordered was quality and tasted rich. However, overall I felt that the quantity of the same was pretty small for a medium size cup and the coffee served wasn’t warm enough. We also tried their almond croissant which was okay and didn’t taste like an ‘Almond’ croissant to be honest.

So I did like this place. The barista forgot our order even though we were sat directly in front of him for 15 minutes. There’s a weird paradox in that no pets are allowed inside ( a good decision in my book) but dog treats are available inside. It’s funny that there’s notwto offer children to treat them but if you bring a dog there’s something nice for your pooch. I had a spiced latte which was actually nicer and spicier than I imagined.

Friendly service and quality coffee. I believe they use verve coffee. The Carmelita is my favorite…hot or iced!! 😋

Nicest family running the place, so glad the business survived the pandemic! There’s always a relaxed crowd of happy customers enjoying the patio with their friends, families, pups. Highly recommend an oat milk mocha.

I like the vibe the place generates. Casual and pretty chill. The location is excellent to attract students and working class people. The staff js helpful and is generally quick in getting your order. We had the mint cold brew latte and red velvet latte. Mint cold brew is definitely recommended. Variety of other options to choose from. Don’t forget to try the pastries and the bakery items too.
Recommend to head to this place during the off-peak hours for good seating. There is an outdoor seating available too. Recommend the owner to add multiple charging spots. During peak-hours suggestion for the staff to clean the tables. The ambience is pleasant and will definitely head back to try few other items on the menu.

The coffee is very good and their pastries are great too! I had a hazelnut latte and a strawberry short cake. The cake was soft and airy. The sweetness is just the right amount in both the items. They have piece cakes, cheesecakes and macaroons as well. They have a great seating area to sit and work. They don’t have street parking in front of the cafe. But the parking on the adjacent streets was pretty empty.

    Positives:
First time visiting here! I love the whole environment being so vibey and chill. Loved how spacious it is as well so everyone feels like they’re in their own pods. Workers are friendly and wears their masks the whole time that they are working here. The food and drink items are super good! Cakes are very tasteful. I tried their Strawberry shortcake and strawberry latte and they were excellent. They also have a variety of other cake options you could purchase if you are planning to purchase a customized birthday cake or any cake for any occasion I believe. They also have a minimal choices of savory food (they only offer deli sandwiches)

    Negatives:
    – Tables don’t seem to be wiped down.
    – price is on the more pricey side
    – don’t have much outlets to charge electronics
Ordered a drink and a cake for a total of $16. Which shouldn’t be a bad price for the quality of it and how our economy is rising the prices for tax and such. That’s understandable. Another big downside for students (at least) is that they don’t have very many outlets to charge stuff. So this place is much preferred for individuals who just wants to come do a hangout at and chit chat with peeps. Accumulating all the downfalls, it would probably make people think twice before coming back for a consistency visit.

Looking at the photos, you could almost taste the flavors of this magnificent Café. It is extremely popular amongst the locals and for good reason. The food is undeniably delicious. I spent $40 on everything in the pictures, because I could not help myself. A bit expensive, but it’s a good once in a while treat.

I ordered house coffee and a ham and egg croissant. The coffee was served hot and bold which was exactly the way I like it. The croissant was fresh and tasty as well. It tasted like a Costco croissant but the ham and cheese with the spinach was a good combo. All in all, it hit the spot and I really enjoyed the coffee.

Love the honey lavender coffee here. The woman who owns this place is so friendly. If you’re looking for a quiet place to work this is it. Lots of seating. In an open space. Also and upstairs. Their other location is much busier. Tasty looking pastries and desserts…I managed to not buy any this time. It’s in the same space as Pier 402.

I really like the rustic feel of this coffee shop! The young hostess was so sweet and accommodating with all my questions. Service for me is 90% of a business and the coffee I got it went great with some of the tea cookies I picked up from down the street at Yeganeh. The patio was nice to read my book although the construction across the street was annoying. But that’s not their fault 😉

Crema lives up to the name. I got the red velvet latte with sugar-free vanilla, and oh my goodness…it’s so good! I can’t imagine what it tastes like with actual sugar. The service was friendly and fast. I want to come back and try more of the items on the menu. Parking is located on the side of the building.

First time experience! This Crema Coffee is attached to Pier 402. You must order at front first, then sit and your food will be served (if you’re ordering lunch). I got the oyster po boy! It was very yummy, the bread was crunch and soft (perfect), there were 5 oysters in the sandwich. I also tried their cherry danish and red velvet white mocha latte ..also good but probably much better if I had gotten the danish baked fresh. There’s not much parking but wasn’t a problem finding parking when I arrived! Cute, chill vibes inside! Def somewhere I’d go often to work from if it were closer to me.

Wow, not sure what happened here since they have great reviews. Was expecting something like Blue Bottle or The Verve.
Short walk after breakfast at The Breakfast Club nearby.
Place was pretty empty, and it took awhile for one employee to appear. The cappucino took less than 10 seconds from order, very fast. Was concerned that the plastic gallon jug of whole milk was less than half full, and looking puffy.
Wanted to order cake or pastry but after seeing the few in the display looking old and crusty, decided to pass. Should have passed on the coffee too. It was horribly bitter and sour. I could not continue drinking after forcing a couple of sips. Stomach did get a little bloat, which happens when the whole milk isn’t the freshest.
First table we sat at was covered in grease. It seems like they share the space with a fish n chips place.

The coffee was rich and creamy. I loved it. Some of their coffee has spicy sauces in them. So please ask the cashier while ordering. I was about to order one and the cashier asked a question to confirm if I know that particular one had a spicy sauce in it. They do not have any indoor seating. There was outdoor seating but it was very busy. That’s understandable given how good their coffee is. They also have some pastries if you are lucky.

Usually a regular latte or black coffee is my go to, but I thought pandan latte is interesting so gave it a try. Turned out to be very delicious! We also ordered a cinnamon latte, which was good as well. Will come back to try more next time.
I like the atmosphere of this place. The outdoor seating has a comfy vibe. I got here in the afternoon so it wasn’t crowded at all, just that the pastries were sold out.

A line forms outside of the space on Sunday mornings so be prepared. They have some unique options such as pandan latte and cinnamon latte. Cute decor and really patient and friendly staff. Takes about five to ten minutes to receive your latte when it’s busy, but it’s worth the time. There is a large patio area for seating, and there is plenty of parking around.

Our favorite coffee shop in San Jose! Their unique flavors and classic drinks are consistent and very good.

Just grabbed some canned lattes to bring into work in San Francisco because I can’t get there every morning!

I got a cortado and a vanilla cold brew. Both beverages had oat milk since they had run out of dairy. There were also no pastries but I went very close to closing. I liked the cortado more than the cold brew but enjoyed both of them.
