Our friends all recommended to visit this coffee place. We couldn’t be happier! This is the first stop of our trip to Seattle. It’s a bit hitter, on the top floor of the market building. The pike place market was actually pretty crowded on a Sunday morning and all the coffee places outside had long lines. We were so happy that we were able to get seated here. They gave free mugs for first time visitors which is a welcoming experience! The latte was nice. Definitely worth a visit!

The coffee here tastes really good — like smooth caramel, quite complex and very balanced. Serious coffee lovers will enjoy it because indeed the coffee does taste amazing! 😋😋☕️☕️
I bought a bag of their coffee beans because it made sense since it comes with a free drink. Some people may wonder if $6 cup of coffee is worth it, I mean it is if you also get beans or the free gift mug with it.

Other things on the menu is they make their own vegan milk and cinnamon buns — maybe next time to try those.

Anyone who’s not sure how to get to the cafe, it’s on the top floor of the building and the entrance to their stairwell is beside the frozen yogurt shop.

Great place to kill some time, enjoy great coffee and an Amazing cinnamon roll. One of the best cinnamon rolls in my life! Crispy outside and creamy center. Comfortable environment with nice lounge style seating. If its your first time they where doing a promotion where you would get a free coffee cup. Good place to go check out.

Expect a bustling, slightly overpriced cafe situated above Pike Place Market with views of the waterfront. Food options are limited, but the coffee service is phenomenal. I enjoyed my morning latte with coworkers in comfortable seating. The restrooms were very clean and the staff were all kind and professional. Will definitely add this to my Pike Place recommendations list.

Brilliant coffee! I haven’t had a rich, full of flavors and well pulled espresso based drink in a long time. Storyville offered that and it was superb. I would recommend visiting them if you’re at Pike place market. They have beautiful seating spaces with a view of water and mountains.

Direction: it’s a bit tricky to get there. Enter the market from 1st and Pike and on the right (next to a bookstore) there are a flight of stairs. There’s a board too. Take the stairs all the way to the top floor.

The first time I tried Anchorhead I wasn’t a fan, but I believe in second chances. The second time was good and made me willing to come back in the future. Their chai latte is really good, espresso drinks are well executed as well. There are seating options both inside and outside. Parking can be a challenge, but if you’re already downtown or at the mall it’s a good option for coffee. I recommend here.

I ordered a double espresso and chose their single origin Ethiopian Sidamo over the Leviathan. Though slightly sweet and very fruity, the shots are pulled a bit too long for my taste. Also, $4.50 is a bit too steep in my opinion. I did however enjoy the atmosphere, love the name of the location and the availability of space.

Is Anchorhead Coffee the best cafe? I can’t answer objectively, mostly because I haven’t visited them all (yet), but I can certainly tell you it’s up for consideration.

This cafe is perfect. The vibes are immaculate. The decorations are perfect. It’s not too big or too small. The breakfast sandwich is a classic with a delicious jammy twist. The espresso is smooth, just bitter enough, and it leaves a delicious aftertaste.

I will be back every time I visit Seattle!

I liked that anchorhead offers more than just coffee drinks! Their coffee is great, but they also have really refreshing cold drinks like pistachio matcha and other teas. The vibe of the Cafe is modern and clean, dark colors. Connected to a lobby of some company so lots of places to sit. Not super cozy but I liked it

Good coffee, but a bit too hot for my liking. The vegan muffin with berries and coconut, however, was really nice! Especially when they heated it. Nice atmosphere if you want to grab a coffee and chat with friends.

This is a cozy little coffee shop in downtown Seattle. My friends took me here when I was visiting Seattle, and I absolutely loved it.

The lattes were impeccable, and we even got some ground coffee to gift to friends. We had a friendly chat with the servers and they were quite funny. There’s seating inside if you want to sip the coffee there. I’ll be back here when I’m in Seattle.

Starbucks can wait, go support local coffee shops!

Not pet friendly. We were asked to leave at 3:30. They asked everyone who received their order to exit. We were not able to finish our beverages. The service was good. I wish the baristas were a little nicer. I would recommend working on the atmosphere of the coffee shop.

Very nice little coffee shop. Loved the cozy atmosphere, it was clean and had a straightfoward menu.

Also had a handful of sit down tables so you can relax and people-watch next to the window.

Best mocha I have ever had. Creamy, rich flavor, made with love. I didn’t even need whipped cream. I am definitely going back this am for another cup before I leave Seattle! This time I’ll get a large.

    Indoor / outdoor seating.

The latte we ordered was very good!

Amazing vibe, delicious sandwich and the best Maple Latte at Zeitgeist Coffee.

With exposed red brick, high ceilings, local artwork on the walls and old fashioned library tables and the table next to us playing chess, this place gave off a fabulous vibe. Combined with friendly service, great food and coffee and a short walk from King Street Station, this was a fabulous find and perfect place to grab lunch during our 2hr bus to train transit.

Lady that took my order was really sweet. Got my order wrong (made it hot instead of iced) but still polite and remade it without a problem. First time going there and would go again! That maple bar is softer than how it looks, it was delicious 😋

Menú seems to be wrong here in Google Maps. Sandwiches are delicious and loved their presentation. The chai latte is a bit strong and very spicy, not sweet. Servers were very nice and accommodating. Loved the vibe and decor. Very nice spot to chill and get a fast and delicious lunch or breakfast (I recommend stopping by if going to the train station)

Decided to try this place before going to work. Great coffee shop. Coffee tasted perfect. Rebecca was my barista. She was very friendly, professional and attentive. I decided to try hemp milk for the first time instead of having my usual almond milk. Rebecca noticed the hemp milk wasn’t mixing right and looked odd despite the hemp milk not being expired. She suggested I tried oat milk instead and remade my drink. Excellent suggestion. Turns out I like oat milk!

Coffee is good, people are good for a quick chat and the ambiance is great.

They have outdoor seating which is just perfect to sit and see life happen around you.

They also have a quiet area to work, if you like working in a coffee shop, but don’t want loud people around you.

Smooth and delicious latte, at the perfect temperature, with beautiful latte art. Seriously and consistently good stuff. Service was friendly and the location is just great. There are lots of semi-indoor and outdoor seatings.

Two more reason to love Espresso Vivace: they support and celebrate local communities, and they have Sea Wolf croissants!

Excellent place for coffee in Seattle. The baristas are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the sweets are fresh and tasty. There is even a more “express” facility a short distance away

Great staff, everyone I’ve talked with has been very friendly & helpful. Also very knowledgeable about the coffee that they use/sell. On top of that it’s AMAZING, AMAZING Coffee.

The espresso cafe that started it all.
Want to visit the cafe where latte art started? This is your spot. Not your average coffee shop. This is where you’ll find excellently poured shots and espresso drinks….but don’t be thinking you’ll get a “drip coffee” they can however make you a beautiful americano.

Vivace is an espresso bar and not a drip coffee shop and after 30 years in the business they still haven’t figure out a nice way to say that to customers. As a regular this is all fine, but to the multitude of espresso appreciators and we’ll meaning tourists who come from outside of Seattle, Espresso Vivace could appear off-putting or rude.

    Tips for ordering:
They serve a double ristretto shot(two small short shots) in each drink. Do not confuse this with a double shot, if you want stronger espresso add another shot.

    What to order:
•A quad americano is a nice strong cup.

•Order a latte for the most beautiful latte art nearly anywhere. The owner literally wrote the book on it.

Bonus: Their whipped cream has espresso in it and is super fresh.

Ambiance: A cozy classic first gen retro cafe vibe. A sort of 90s and 50s Mashup with yellow, red, and brown accents. Not your hipster haunt but a classic.

    Where Vivace falls short….

•They are in the service industry but sometimes forget this. There are a few really talented baristas there but a few who have forgotten they are in the service industry.

•They are not consistent with alternative milks and are often out of oatmilk or other alternatives.

•Prices are high and they charge over a dollar extra for alt milks.

•The pastry food options are limited.
Like many I feel a delicious pastry can really take my coffee shop experience to the next level.
While I am not vegan or GF, more options are needed.
Tip: They will not heat up anything and don’t ask, as they appear annoyed to have to say this to everyone.

Despite appearing to have lost their passion or forward momentum over the years they remain a pillar in the espresso community and a visit to Seattle would not be complete with a latte from Vivace.
