This is definitely tied as one of my favorite coffee places in the tri cities. The atmosphere is fantastic and is definitely the kind of place you can spend all day at. Coffee was fantastic, very flavorful but not too sweet and still have a bold bitterness that coffee should have, the seasonal menus is so cool and really creative with combinations I’ve never seen before. As far as baked goods, I’ve only tried the Harvest muffin, which was moist and dense, but all of their baked goods looked delicious. I will definitely be frequenting this place when I’m in the area.

This is our new fave coffee place and we’re so sad it’s so far away from us. Best hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my life. Cannot wait to try their seasonal flavors next time we go. Also, we ordered basically one each of their pastries and they’re definitely homemade and yummy.

Super cool place! Love that they have a menu based on the enneagram in addition to their regular menu. Great atmosphere also!

I’m not even a coffee person and I LOVED this place. The sandwich I got was amazing and the atmosphere is great. I also love that they have a menu based off the enneagram. It’s super creative!

I’m a little obsessed with The Coffee Company. We were in from out of town, visiting the area, and popped in. We loved it so much we went back. Everyone was so welcoming and the coffee was great. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. If we lived in or near Elizabethton it would be our go-to place.

Warm, homey atmosphere, great food and delicious coffee! Open doors egg bowl was great. My 2-year-old got a plain waffle and loved it but I’d really like to try any of the gourmet waffles! They look amazing. Would also definitely recommend trying the lavender white mocha iced latte!!

Very nice experience! Quiet, clean atmosphere, with friendly staff. Unique variety of items to eat and drink. My wife ordered the lavender mocha latte with the Open Doors Egg Bowl. My son got a waffle. I ordered the Little Chicago Egg Plate. Everyone’s good came out quick, it was fresh, hot, and really good! We’re all happy, highly recommend!

Absolutely adorable little coffee shop with a fairly extensive menu. While I did not sample the breakfast and confections offered, the coffee was fantastic. Service was very friendly and prompt. Neat little porch area that is pet friendly. Definitely will return to try more the menu offerings and another cup of joe.

Quaint coffee shop and cafe. It’s great for a date, camping out to study, or catching up with friends. The cafe scene really slacks in Johnson City, but luckily this is one of the few local spots that has stayed in great business. The town really needs more places like this.
    Things you should know:
There’s plenty of spaces available for a weekday morning. The drive through is very convenient for a quick run through too.
    No complaints. Friendly and informative.
Great! Surprisingly cheap. I got a large cold brew with a couple add-ins (milk of choice and syrup) for only $3-something. Whereas at other locally owned businesses back home it would have been $6-something. Honestly, even franchises like Starbucks cost a lot more than here, but it’s not like you get what you pay for. The coffee here is good–my picky palate will vouch for it.
I had no issues finding some seating.

In town for a weekend getaway and we looked at the reviews of this restaurant so we thought we would give it a try. I had the scramble plate that was on special and my wife ordered the omelet.

The scramble plate was good but was a little too salty. The omelet was not good. It was made with canned mushrooms and lunch meat for the ham. The juice from the mushrooms was running all over the plate making the bottom of the biscuit all soggy, which you can see it in the picture I attached. It was so salty my wife could only eat the egg part of it, which was a bit over cooked.

If I lived here, I would definitely give it another try because I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt and try them at least twice but since we are out of towners, not able to do so.

    On a positive note,
The biscuits were delicious and the gravy from my scramble plate would have made amazing biscuits and gravy.

The service was wonderful and the staff were very nice.

After tax and tip we spent about $35 with no beverages. The price was no big deal for us because we understand the high cost of everything right now, just thought I would let people know. The portion sizes were huge, so the food cost was commensurate with what you received I didn’t feel cheated at all with the cost.

Searched for local breakfast places and stumbled across SideKicks. It seems a bit diminutive and unassuming from the outside, with a covered porch that is likely nice to brunch on during the warmer months. We came in, immediately greeted with a friendly smile. Got a paper menu and took a nearby seat, to get the descriptions behind the many menu items.
I ordered the omelet and my companion got the smoked ham and egg sandwich. We took a seat and didn’t have to wait long before the buzzer went off, maybe 10-12 minutes.
The omelet was huge! Seriously, it seemed like a football that was cut down the middle. Fluffy eggs, loads of toppings, and plenty of melted cheese. Really really good. The sandwich was great too, with the pineapple making itself known amongst the rest of the ingredients.
The service was friendly, attentive, and on point. The decor was warm, cozy, and homey. The food was plentiful and very tasty. A+

Amazing find! While driving through Nashville we found this GEM. Super friendly environment and amazing staff. The loaded biscuit was amazing! Home made biscuit was perfect and the eggs were so fluffy it was a perfect combo. The fiancé got the ham sandwich with Gouda and pineapple jam and loved it! The latte was made with honey and vanilla and it tasted great.
1000% recommend stopping by this gem!

This place was a dumpster fire at best.

The moment I entered, you could fill the hostility of the staff. Not towards the customers, but towards the other employees.
They weren’t overly busy, yet the employees were very tense and snippy towards each other.

Anyways, I ordered a breakfast sandwich, bacon egg and cheese to go, along with a cinnamon roll to go.
When they completed my order and gave it to me, I checked it, and they had given me a piece of pie, and a pimento bacon sandwich…

I told them their mistake, and they took it back to remake it.
Meanwhile I sat down, waited a few minutes, and a older lady from the back came up to me and asked me why I didn’t want the pimento bacon sandwich that she had made for me.

I told her that it was not what I ordered, and pointed to my receipt, she made a grunting noise, and asked me that since I didn’t order it, maybe I could tell her who did.

I was at a loss, because I didn’t know that answer, especially since I was at the one taking orders, nor do I work there.
She stood there next to me, fuming for a few seconds while looking around. She then tossed the bag containing the incorrect order on my table, and walked away. She never said another word.

Confused, I took the bag back up to the counter and told them I was still waiting on my correct order. They were under the impression that the bag I was just given was the correct order.
I explained that it wasn’t, showed it to them again and they sent it back to be remade again.

The lady in the back obviously didn’t like that, and verbally complained about it.
Already weary of the confrontation, I just decided to leave without my order, and I’ll let the credit card company dispute the charge.

First time customer review went on a week day for lunch got the avocado toast it wasn’t the best seems as they just took the avocado mashed it on the bread with spinach, tomatoes and seeds no seasonings were added. They have parking available, indoor and outdoor seating. Didn’t see alot of vegan/vegetarian options. Not sure if I will return do to very few options to choose from.

Oh my goodness my chicken salad croissant was so good. The brocolli cheese soup was absolutely delicious. My husband got the chili and it was the best either of us has ever had. Did not need crackers at all. My iced tea was so refreshing and wonderful. It appears that they use a small muffin like a garnish on all the plates. Eat the muffin it is amazingly yummy. The decor was so fun. Love this place we will definately be back and will bring friends with us. So so very good

I got the club sandwhich, pasta salad, and a scoop of chicken salad. All three were phenomenal and exceeded my expectations. I’ve always heard of the “mustard seed” but I have never tried it. Being a resident of Kingsport for 38 years I can firmly say you should try this place out. Definitely a great lunch spot. There was plenty of seating and the place was clean. The bathroom was also clean.

I loved this coffee bar! Their coffee was very high quality and they had the options to substitute milk alternatives. They had plenty of seating and a lot of beautiful artwork along the walls. I highly recommend for anyone in the area!

The coffee was amazing. I had the smoked salmon cream cheese toast and it was very good. The atmosphere was friendly. The only issue was it is a bit hard to find. Park in the big lot on State of Franklin an walk through the alley to main street.

Visiting town for a birthday, and decided to get some coffee and breakfast. The toasts were good, yummy thick bread. We got the pimento cheese and pickle (!!!) and the salmon toasts. I got an iced chai and the flavor wasn’t really present. My partner agreed that it didn’t have a strong enough chai flavor. I would say skip the coffee and enjoy the food!
