Def love those pink drinks, with coughing milk, healthy and just amazing. Which and efficient service both through the drive thru totally worth the wait, also inside when you see the team with together for all wants and desires this morning. . If course got my pink Drink, sorry tried taste of the paradise drink, again surprised. It’s one I would crave to order but it’s totally awesome…… Order to make to drink. Great team vibe today!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed a mobile order then after arriving at the store I waited 45 minutes and still didn’t get my order. I did get my banana bread which was not even worth eating. When I let them know I was told I could call the customer service to get my money back instead of taking care of it. I get it that it was busy, but maybe they shouldn’t have been standing around goofing off either. I clearly heard one of them tell the other 15 minutes before I walked up there that they had the orders all over the place. I know I’m only 1 person. But I have a big family and I will not go back here and I’ll make sure they don’t as well. Word of mouth is a huge thing and this place is awful!

Need to figure out how to move customers through the line a little quicker. Coffee was good but the breakfast sandwich was poor quality, I think it was premade and heated in a microwave yet cost twice that of any other breakfast place.

Just waited in line for 30 minutes to have a simple Grande Frappuccino with one pump mocha one pump caramel made wrong 🙂 no mocha, all caramel. Is it really that hard. Do better

Order taking over 30 minutes for one latte. Baristas joking and laughing behind counter. Clearly unconcerned with backlog of customers.

Warm, homey atmosphere, great food and delicious coffee! Open doors egg bowl was great. My 2-year-old got a plain waffle and loved it but I’d really like to try any of the gourmet waffles! They look amazing. Would also definitely recommend trying the lavender white mocha iced latte!!

Very nice experience! Quiet, clean atmosphere, with friendly staff. Unique variety of items to eat and drink. My wife ordered the lavender mocha latte with the Open Doors Egg Bowl. My son got a waffle. I ordered the Little Chicago Egg Plate. Everyone’s good came out quick, it was fresh, hot, and really good! We’re all happy, highly recommend!

Absolutely adorable little coffee shop with a fairly extensive menu. While I did not sample the breakfast and confections offered, the coffee was fantastic. Service was very friendly and prompt. Neat little porch area that is pet friendly. Definitely will return to try more the menu offerings and another cup of joe.

Quaint coffee shop and cafe. It’s great for a date, camping out to study, or catching up with friends. The cafe scene really slacks in Johnson City, but luckily this is one of the few local spots that has stayed in great business. The town really needs more places like this.
    Things you should know:
    I. PARKING
There’s plenty of spaces available for a weekday morning. The drive through is very convenient for a quick run through too.
    II. SERVICE
    No complaints. Friendly and informative.
    III. QUALITY
Great! Surprisingly cheap. I got a large cold brew with a couple add-ins (milk of choice and syrup) for only $3-something. Whereas at other locally owned businesses back home it would have been $6-something. Honestly, even franchises like Starbucks cost a lot more than here, but it’s not like you get what you pay for. The coffee here is good–my picky palate will vouch for it.
    IV. CAPACITY
I had no issues finding some seating.

I love this place! It’s a good thing I live about an hour away or I’d be here every day. Their chicken pesto sandwich is amazing and I love to pair it with the cheese danish. Very nice people and great food!

This was the 2nd weekend on mine and the hubby’s coffee tour and he chose The Ugly Mug. I had never heard of it but he drives by it on his way to work everyday. First off, I want to start off by saying I think it is the most clever name for a coffee shop! When he said the name I immediately cracked up laughing. After checking out the menu and reading the reviews, this one jumped to the top of our list as the next one to try and we were NOT disappointed!! They had an amazing selection of coffee’s and breakfast items as well as lunch!

I opted for the hot Sea Salt Caramel latte and the buttermoon pound cake. The hubby decided to try the hot Full Moon latte and lemon blueberry biscuit. Of course, we also had to get 4 of the homemade brownies. One for him, one for me and the other two for the kiddos, of course. 😊 (Seriously, they were for the kiddos. 😊)

We got our order to go, unlike last week, only because the atmosphere wasn’t as comfortable and inviting. It was standard tables and chairs. No comfy couches or chairs but they did have tables outside as well. We were, however, pleasantly surprised when we got to the car and found our pastries had been warmed up for us! Not expecting that at all!! We both very much enjoyed the pastries as well as the lattes. Definitely recommend this little place as well. 😋☕ (Please excuse the sloppy pic of our drinks & food. It was difficult to take in the car. 😕)

The food and drinks are great! I’m not a coffee drinker, but the cocoa and smoothies are very good! Also, the lemon blueberry biscuits are amazing! We are hooked!

I loved it! This is really a cool place! It’s pretty spendy but the atmosphere is great. Wish it had a comfy couch and chairs.. I’d probably never leave lol! Friendly staff.. good food and great coffee!

A wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. I tried the sea salt caramel latte and a slice of buttermoon cake….very yummy. Other pastries, breakfast items, and lunch sandwiches on the menu too. There’s also a variety of bagged coffee available for purchase. Drive-thru service available.

Chai latte with soy is on the lighter side. Its not as creamy as what I’m used to and prefer. The holiday bear is so cute. I don’t remember seeing it before. Last night I did see the Chinese new year ones on eBay sold in Asian countries. It $9.95. Cute bear for the Xmas tree. I stopped here looking for the Tennessee been there mugs. Decided to start collecting them when I was in Columbia SC 2 weeks ago. I was in Knoxville just this past May… I love TN and decides to make a trip here again. Anyway, this location doesn’t have the TN been there mug. My search continues…

Ordered Iced Caramel Macchiato but received something look like White Chocolate Mocha. Asked barista if it was wrong ordered, they said “What’s wrong with that?”. They ended up try to blame on me that Caramel Macchiato supposed to be like that. I have been here many times to order Macchiato, so I am pretty sure what I supposed to get. Not sure if that barista knows how Caramel Macchiato been made and looked like.

Normally starbucks can be pretty hit or miss, but today Donovan (Hopefully spelled right) really nailed my coffee, and I really needed that this morning. Everyone is always super friendly and full of personality when I go to order, its quick, and if there are ever any mistakes they are all super sweet about fixing it. I drive here instead of going to the one on campus sometimes, just because they are that much better.

When you spend $5.75 for a grande mocha you would expect it to be full but no I get a 3/4 cup. I’m adding to this review because I went to this starbucks at 7am this morning and spent $12.60 on 2 drinks to be told “there’s no smoking in the drive-thru” well Starbucks you can keep your coffee and I will keep the $50 plus dollars I spent on you in a week. Until you start paying my car payment don’t try and tell me what I can do in my car. Good day.

I think this is the fastest drive-through Starbucks I have visited. We had four orders and they got everything exactly right. The baristas were very nice. I’ll certainly go back when I am in Johnson City next time.

I loved this coffee bar! Their coffee was very high quality and they had the options to substitute milk alternatives. They had plenty of seating and a lot of beautiful artwork along the walls. I highly recommend for anyone in the area!

The coffee was amazing. I had the smoked salmon cream cheese toast and it was very good. The atmosphere was friendly. The only issue was it is a bit hard to find. Park in the big lot on State of Franklin an walk through the alley to main street.

Visiting town for a birthday, and decided to get some coffee and breakfast. The toasts were good, yummy thick bread. We got the pimento cheese and pickle (!!!) and the salmon toasts. I got an iced chai and the flavor wasn’t really present. My partner agreed that it didn’t have a strong enough chai flavor. I would say skip the coffee and enjoy the food!

Stopped by for a light breakfast and coffee on our our road trip.
Nice coffee shop with lots of comfortable seating.
Great latte, and the quiche & coffee cake were just as good.
    Wonderful service.

Allow them to suprise you if you like to try new things. I’ve asked this multiple times and Everytime it’s amazing. You can feel the love in it🥰 locally owned; it’s a hot coffee spot for johnson city, a must try that you’ll want to take your friends to. They have new art every month to start conversation and enlighten your mind. Quiet corners for peace while you study.
