Such a great coffee shop! The atmosphere is very pleasant- they have soft/smooth music playing in the background, the coffee aroma is lovely, and the people who fill the shop are from all walks of life. We arrived around 1PM but be aware it fills fast and stays full.. they have outdoor seating so that’s an option if the inside isn’t available.

They have an amazing vegan cinnamon roll! It’s a bit on the sweet side, but that’s expected for vegan desserts. This spot was very crowded and quite tough to find a spot to seat unfortunately. I went there to get some studying done, but spent nearly half an hour waiting for someone to get up so I could sit and finally study. Overall, it’s a calm atmosphere and a nice place to get work done, once you can finally find a seat.

One of my favorite coffee places at Houston.
    Open till pretty late.
I often just come here to work and sip coffee. They also have beer on tap at times and nice house wine.

Kinda my goto place whenever I wanna work or even read a book.

This place is crowded for a reason. The atmosphere is rustic and full of people who are here to work, study, and drink coffee. I honestly prefer the matcha, they have a variety of seasonal drinks that change the way you drink your lattes.

A great staple of Houston. Take your laptop or some friends and go here to enjoy some laid back time with some good coffee or a glass of wine. They have indoor (two story) and outdoor seating and can some times be pretty bustling. If you’re looking for a cafe or casual lounge spot this is simply a place you can’t go wrong.

Iced chai latte was amazing here and so refreshing on a typical hot Houston morning. I wish I could praise the chocolate croissant too but it was very lacking in chocolate.

The ambiance inside Black Hole is really nice. There’s tons of seating space inside and outside. Easy to be productive here 🤓

Good coffee, good scone, quick service, and plenty of space. Nothing was great, though. I was a bit disappointed when I saw so few food options. I chose this place because I was under the impression they had lots of food options. Arrived at 9:30, so it’s not like we got there super late and everything was gone. Overall, everything was good, and I’d try it again.

Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helped me get signed into the Wi-Fi and even checked later on to make sure I was still connected. The breakfast tacos that I ordered from the food truck were amazing!! Chorizo, eggs and potatoes was phenomenal, and I really enjoyed the bacon and eggs taco as well. Will be back to chill soon…I forgot to discuss the iced coffee which was excellent, and I appreciate the free water to stay hydrated. Relaxed and pleasant experience.

Just an update: Been a minute since I last went, and when I came in this morning, my server at the register remembered what I always ordered and that meant a lot to me regarding the attention to detail.

Just posted a picture with an empty plate that just had the contents of a Strawberry Cream Danish, and it was soo good that I ate it quickly and forgot to show, but I think that speaks for itself. Excellent.

    Dirty Chai = Delicious
Vast menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly. Other patrons are friendlier
Coffee shop is away from the main road tucked away in a quite part of the neighborhood

EDITED:::: Here today and AC is amazing!! Y’all come back!!!! Great place. Good vibes!

I absolutely LOVE this place! One caveat. It is sooooo freaking hot!! Seriously it’s causing people to get up and leave which makes me sad because the place is so awesome. I have found a temporary solution to my problem but it’s Houston Texas’s C’mon. Myself and another guy asked and the worker just said that the air conditioning was on…. My solution is my cute little fan!

    This place is fantastic in the following areas;

Food has a unique taste; my favorite is an eggs burger.

The speed for the food order and getting to your table to exceptional.

Amiable staff, and the owner and I have his picture below 👇 in a black shirt.

The drinks are incredible, especially the coffee flavors and the style they make.

The decor is superb; please try to outdoor ally setting area. It gives you a Mediterranean feel.

    Amazing crowd!

    Not so much amazing

Quantity vs. Price $$$ is a bit expensive for the portion of the food. See the pic below for my burger almost close to $14.00.

Please give it a try; the manager is big time Houston Astors supporter ❤️❤️❤️

Clean and friendly laid back environment, overall a solid spot to grab a drink and relax. Both indoor and shaded outdoor seating available. Drinks and food are very solid for the money, although the menu could use a few more options when it comes to pastries. Parking is relatively easy during off hours, but during peak hours it may be a bit more difficult. Open later than many other coffee shops, so a good choice for those wanting to grab a drink and work a bit later.

Went here to meet up with a mate of mine to catch up. Counter staff were super friendly and helpful with getting a beverage selected, as well as a light bite. I got the vegan taco tray with the habanero sauce. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid trio of black bean tacos with potatoes, the cold brew was rich with a hint of a fruity character.

We sat outside and that was a super chill, roomy area. They even have a speaker that is just the right volume to not disturb conversation, but you will definitely hear when your order is up.

    I would surely visit again.

I can’t say enough good things about this place.
A while ago I ordered delivery for my wife and asked them to add a message to the cup. They spiced it up and added real love to the message.
I had some issues with the order, called in, and the manager took the time to take care of me while her kids were in the room there with her.

When I went to eat in, the place was really nice, had a great vibe, and all sorts of people were there.
The food was delicious and interesting. They had great coffee but the food was surprisingly delicious and amazing. 10/10 recommend.

I had a blast here with my partner. Food was good, servers were so sweet and kind and helpful. Atmosphere was great! I could definitely come here and study more often. This was my first time being there and I was not disappointed. Coffee was super good too. Definitely recommend.

We’ve been here twice, about 5 years ago and a few days ago, both visits scored some great coffee. For some reason I overlooked doing a review so here it is. I picked up a bag of Amaya Coffee Roasters whole beans, temporada, an espresso, I love the beans and the presence of a roast date on the bag. We enjoyed a couple iced mocha coffees. Check out the huge gorilla mural across the street.

By far the best coffee I’ve had inside the loop. Going to buy their coffee beans I like it that much. I normally order ahead in the morning before work. The staff is super friendly. Seating is a bit odd and the space is a little small but but if you’re looking for excellent coffee I highly recommend this place!

Awesome coffee shop in the heights. The coffee beans are excellent. The staff are extremely friendly. They have some small snacks and plenty of open seating. I’ll definitely be back.

This place was a latte haven!

I walked here with my aunt everyday I was visiting her!

This place is very special and the people are SO KIND!

Not expensive, but the quality of the coffees, teas, and danishes are DELICIOUS AND AMAZING. Go here! You won’t regret it! ☕️🫖🧁🥧🍰

Great coffe and pastries. Pretty small but has a great vibe to it. Plenty of parking at the rear of the place. My iced latte was actually one of the cheapest that I’ve gotten in a while and was delicious.

Nice spot with a fresh breakfast menu and a ton of delicious coffee options. I’ve only ever had their coffee in beer collaborations before (Eureka Heights). Line was out the door, but it moved super quick. The coffee cake was delicious. Avocado toast was delicious too.

Our first time here. The food was delicious. The cappuccinos tasty, hot tea warms the chi! Highly recommend. All that could make it perfect would be a few couches, but has outdoor seating and a parking lot across the street. Happy Sunday!

Vibe- Great spot for studying and working; there’s about 13 tables inside and each has 2-4 seats at it, there’s seats outside too.

Customer service- Great! The barista that took my order was very nice!

Food/drinks- I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk; I also heard their milk and honey latte is good too.

Parking (only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars)- It honestly sucks! I just got lucky and found a spot right outside the shop.

Cute coffee shop in the middle of the Heights near several boutiques. The inside provides some seating near the entrance windows with smaller tables near the wall and bar stool tables in the center. The shop itself is long and provides plenty of space for sitting. Outlets are near the wall but no one seemed to be fighting over one. When I first arrived around 2pm on a Tuesday, it was a pretty relaxing atmosphere. However, around 4pm it got pretty rowdy (a tad bit too loud for me to study with my headphones in).

I really enjoyed the Mayan Mocha (dark coco, vanilla, and cayenne latte). The barista was really nice and greeted all the customers. Parking was set up differently than other places in houston with parking spots at ~90 degree angle from the road directly in front of the shop, but there were plenty when I arrived.

Had a good time here but will probably return only during non busy hours (outside of 7-9 or 4-6) to work.

Lovely experience here. Staff were very friendly, menu had a lot of great options for food and drinks, and I had a fun ambulance. Would definitely recommend coming here to enjoy a chat with a friend, date, or even just to check out another Place in the Heights!
