I was blown away by the quality of the coffee, the friendliness of the baristas, and the perfect atmosphere of this coffee shop. The Ginger Latte was absolutely mind blowing! I’ve never had a latte that tasted so good!! Kudos to the amazing staff!!

Yum ! I am a coffee fanatic and very picky but the first sip had me in, unlike a lot of places you can still taste the rich espresso and then the sweetness of the latte. I love it they blew this out of the park. My coffee lovers should definitely try at least once. Ps- I got the pistachio latte.

Wonderful new, to me, addition to Mass Av. The staff is friendly, the service quick and what an environment. Enjoy your coffee and the architecture of an era long gone by. My Latte was smooth with no bite, excellent foam and great art. We’ll be back.

Loved the latte and dirty chai I got. They were perfect temperature and the latte art was really dope. The building itself was the icing on top. It was very awesome and if I lived here I’d be here every day.

Oh my gosh! What did I stumble upon????
Ambience – German, historic architecture. Open & spacious space, medieval era setup and beautiful details on every nook and corner of Coat Check. We were wowed by the little details.
Coffee – Can I call out NIRVANA!? The speciality lattes are BOMB! butterscotch latte with the perfect hint of nuttiness and sweetness and the ginger latte with herbaceous notes of hibiscus and warmth of ginger. Let’s not forget the spice of chili de arbol! Wow just wow!
Food – No I am not a coffee and food kinda person but today being a Sunday ordered Breakfast and Pesto Bialy sandwich. The schmear & flavors fell right in place.
All in all highly recommend for work, stop by or enjoy a luxurious cup of coffee. Coat Check has my VOTE!

Such a welcoming and eclectic spot! I ordered the spicy chai latte with oat milk and it was delicious. Next time, I will ask for less cinnamon on top.

There was only one table left when I arrived, but several of the armchairs were open. A good spot to get some work done in the afternoon!

There’s a groovy atmosphere, relaxed and inviting. Eclectic art covers the walls, with both comfortable lounging chairs and plenty of small tables. Power outlets are plenty, for those busy folk. And if you just need a recharge, I’ve had a latte and hot chai here, both phenomenal. The pride flags and BLM signs out front signify a promise that is kept by their friendly baristas: everyone is welcome here.

One more gem near Indianapolis downtown! Perfect place to work, has a casual vibe and such delicious coffee! The seasonal stocking stuffer Latte – chocolate and orange had fresh orange zest and thick, rich chocolate combining to be a divine citrusy choco delight. Was a flavor bomb with each sip. The masala latte wasn’t too strong on the palate although it had all the spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, clove, ginger and nutmeg. The coffee house was out of any pastries at 12pm today which was a bummer since we were famished but the coffee was so good I was a happy caffeine gal! I haven’t tried the drip coffee although there were many customers who came in just for the coffee beans – I will try that the next time. This is one of the unique coffee gems in Indiana! My vote!

I went there on a Friday afternoon to have coffee and do some work. Place was full. Coffee is very good and strong. There was No much pastries left but i was there around 1pm. I loved the atmosphere and people there where so friendly. Recommend

Based purely on coffee, staff are also friendly and knowledgeable. Price is very fair. If you sit in, coffee served in quality ceramic cups and nice atmosphere (need more high brow books back on the book shelves please!). Literally the only coffee house from which I have ever bought a bag of coffee (thank you John for the tailored grind) for my home machine. Still trying to work out if I should upgrade to industrial machine. One of the places my international realtor used to get me interested in moving from Europe to Indy; and it worked, at least in the short term lol

Hidden gem: quills coffee!!! Situated downtown closed to the canal walk river. It is actually in the nine on canal building. Very aesthetic. It also has great graphics and places to study. You may also be able to purchase coffee. The croissant with chocolate were pretty good as well. This place is great for a studying section.

Very little selection. Staff wasn’t friendly. My Chai was like a glass of milk with cinnamon. She put so much cinnamon in my drink I had to chew it. I watched her attempt to stir it then gave up and handed it to me. We paid over $10 for 2 tiny drinks. I would find a different coffee shop.

This Indy outpost of one of Kentucky’s best roasters continues to live up to expectations in their new space. Several options on batch, espresso, and pour over and an even larger selection of whole beans in bags. Natural Honduran on espresso was good, pour over washed Ethiopian was also good (they’re running a Marcos automated system over a Kalita Wave). Picked up bags of Koji processed Colombian and a Guatemalan-grown Gesha that I’m looking forward to trying at home! Cookies from 4Birds bakehouse and pastries from another place that I don’t remember the name of round out a solid cafe menu.

Quills’ new spot is very cool, so much natural light and plenty of seating. And this is probably the closest to 3rd wave coffee in Indianapolis you’re going to find. Highly recommend!

Great coffee shop that demanded several return visits. Really comfortable seating and nice study/conversation vibes. Did I mention the coffee was great? So great I bought a couple bags to take back home with me. Their espresso drinks are really smooth and well balanced.

We’ve been coming here for several years now and despite a challenging pandemic, their hospitality, creamy froth, and kind smiles have never changed. Their espresso and lattes are deliciously thick and creamy. They often have seasonal lattes that you’d wish were available year-round. Their menu also includes sweet or savory crepes, which are made on-demand. Free parking is available out back in a small lot or street side.

What is your favorite place to collaborate or just be inspired to grow?

Neidhammer had been a wonderful place for me to clear head space and focus. I have had many wonderful first meetings at this establishment. Along with growth sessions with my peers.

2022 is the time for new beginning, lasting friendships, and dreams to come true.

This was a very cute coffee shop!
    Everything tasted great!
    We had the following:
    Oatmilk latte
    Italian macchiato
Saint Clair place – brie cheese, blackberry jam, and bacon bits
The Georgia st- Peaches, sweet cream cheese, and brown sugar streusel
    Pistacho muffin
Area was meh but not the worst. Parking is limited.

I stopped by Neidhammer Coffee Company to get a latte. I opted for the white chocolate and cinnamon combo, and it did not disappoint.

The build is beautiful with exposed brick. There is plenty of seating. Parking is limited. There is also a space next door to host weddings/events.

    I will definitely return.

Oh my! What a way to start New Year and “discover” a new coffee shop! We had to change our plans cause another coffee shop was closed and the nearest option was Mass Ave. Walk in and you immediately get the urban vibe with exposed brick and the casual vibe with the hipster crowd. They have a “World of Coffee” section with cool options such as Moroccan, Cuban, African and Italian. I went for 12 oz.Americano and it just didn’t disappoint. There’s a variety of teas and good old Ghirardelli’s hot chocolate. I ended up working for 3+ hours and it was a good experience. Parking wasn’t a hassle though it was Mass Ave and coffee was decently priced. Coming back!

Loved the space! The old building is a perfect place for a unique coffee shop.

Disappointed in no GF or Vegan bakery items.

Got a Spanish latte which I highly recommend! My parents got the jasmine pearl and lemon ginger green tea iced and they really enjoyed their drinks! It’s a really awesome place that I would happily come back and do some work at!

I never leave google reviews but this is literally one of my FAVORITE places in the world.
The atmosphere is friendly and peaceful, the cafe is beautifully rustic, and the coffee is legitimate. (Plus they have fantastic vegan options!)
The baristas are always welcoming and last time I went they helped me to choose a drink called meil, which now happens to be my very favorite latte I have ever had. It was a better drink than anything I’ve had even while living in Europe.
My husband and I met at this cafe for our first date five years ago and every time we visit it again it means so much to us. It is a hidden gem and everything a good cafe should be.
