Do yourself a favor and visit this quiet restaurant in Lincoln, Ne. The service is terrific. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic, and the prices are beyond reasonable. Virginia’s Café is absolutely the best lunch for the money we’ve had while in Lincoln. Highly recommend it!

This was my second time there and by far the worst experience at a cafe around town. I ordered steak and eggs. Steak medium and eggs over easy. Homemade toast which I was told is the best, and a side of French toast. It took over 20 mins to get my meal and others came out before mine who had been there after me. When I got my plate the eggs were about 1/3 uncooked whites. I told her and she said maybe you want medium then. Over easy means it is cooked on both side with a warm runny yoke not uncooked white! This is a restaurant standard. She sends it back and these cooks took the same eggs and fried them hard then put them back over the uncooked whites that had now ran into the hashbrowns (see pic). She forgot my toast but when I got it was burn beyond edible. The steak was hard like leather. Completely wells done not any pink at all. I will not be back here again! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Virginia’s Cafe is the place to go!
This was the best two egg breakfast I’ve had in a good while. I ordered eggs over medium, I was served eggs over medium. Coffee was good, and thy cup shall never runneth dry. The service was excellent! Oh, and the coffee cup with the cool, old school logo can be purchased as well and makes a great gift in my humble opinion.

Brought my mom for lunch on a Monday. They had a specials board. The food, staff, facility and prices were all adequate. I would eat here again

Food was good and large portions. I had the sausage and cheddar omelette with hash browns and home made wheat bread buddy had the hungry boy breakfast

A very different restaurant, I was impressed with the kind of sandwiches/sub they offer. We did tried the Korean BBQ sub (out favorite), Chinese BBQ (pork), Meatball & Thai Chicken and Beef. All of those were great, we still need to try the rest. Prices are affordable (between 6 to 8 dollars for a whole Sub. I’m really picky on sandwiches but this place is just different than a normal sandwich or Sub place.

I heard about this places from a lot of people around me and finally gave it a try. I order the chinese bbq pork banh mi and the grilled pork bann mi which were execllent! Totally worth the long drive!
P/S: their garlic mayo is bomb!!!

Great place to come and chill with friends or relax by yourself. The sandwiches are really good and they don’t make you feel sick after eating them like other sub sandwiches. The tea is amazing and there’s a bunch of options to choose from. I also highly recommend trying one of their waffles.

This is one of my favorite places! My go-to is the spicy Thai chicken with coconut bubble tea (helps tame the spice!). Avocado boba is also tasty (less sweet). The prices are reasonable and the punch card works for tea AND sandwiches which is awesome.

This place is excellent all around. Fast, friendly service with a wide variety of meats or vegetarian options for any type of Banh mi sandwich and at very fair prices. I was not prepared for how big these are, it was a foot long! I had the spicy Thai chicken and it WAS spicy, but that’s how I like it! They top the sandwiches with cilantro, shredded carrots, pickled Daikon, and jalapeno. There’s also options for extra meats and sides to go with your sandwich. You also have to try the bubble tea! Phenomenal mixes of flavors to choose from. I chose almond flavor milk tea with strawberry flavored bubbles, I could drink that all day long. Also, if you need something for that extra hot day, turn it into a smoothie! 10/10 will be back to try something different off the menu.

Really good quality coffee and environment. The first time we went was on a Sunday morning, and it took forever to get through the line, and it looked like they maybe needed more help? Tried the cappuccino, latte with some vanilla (hot as well as iced), the moto mocha (iced) and the hibiscus cooler. All were great! Would definitely go there again if I was in town.

Great vibes for a casual work day and great conversation. I’m traveling and this is a perfect location if you’re is downtown Lincoln.

I came here with my Fiancé to celebrate her sister Amanda Landaverde + Reid Bailey’s wedding.

It is a very welcoming and inviting coffee shop. Totally agree with many reviews about such an awesome coffee shop in Lincoln downtown. I went there for a quick stop on Sat morning. The ambiance is so relaxing. I wish there were more pastries to try. Luckily, there was apple coffee cake which was very good with cappuccino. Biscotti was also good. I hope to have a chance to stop at the Mill again. Next time, I will try some tea and any goodies to go with .
By the way, there is a kiosk that buys and sells bitcoins. I think it is pretty impressive.

In Seattle “Coffee capital of the world” it’s hard to find a coffee shop open late. To my surprise I came across The Mill in NE and oh my! What a cute coffee shop! Got the Mexican mocha and it’s perfect. Not too sweet and can definitely taste the Mexican chocolate in it.

Also got a cinnamon roll and omg can’t stop eating! Someone take it from me! Super good.

Excellent coffee. Lovely atmosphere. Crowded with line ups. Walls of merch. Candy! Gigantic antique metal things (I’m scared of attempting to name them in case I’m wrong.) Lots of seating…it keeps going back and back.

The Mill is my go-to coffee source in Lincoln for enjoying a cup with a friend, working remotely, or grabbing a bag for quality brews at home. Each location has a unique, but inviting and warm atmosphere. I love the variety of coffee that they source – even bringing in rare types from Haiti and Hawaii. Seriously, high recommendations for The Mill.

This is definitely the hub of downtown Lincoln; people of all ages were there to chat, play cards, or get work done. The Mill doesn’t have much of a fresh food menu which was a little disappointing, but the homemade pop tart was incredible and they have an amazing little gift shop and custom stickers. Very of the moment!

Established, comfortable coffee shop with good coffee and a good chicken salad sandwich! I had a to-go order, but while I was there I saw many people studying or reading. Productivity everywhere! The string lights inside, outside seating, and location are all great bonuses.

I had the apple cider and it was great!! It was actually a decent price too! The building is a great size with plenty of tables and chairs for a lot of people to come in and sit. They have a lot of snack options and things beside coffee.

Stopped in some family before leaving to fly out Omaha (we were staying in Lincoln). Upon walking in, you’re hit with a strong but not overwhelming ground coffee bean smell! Giving off a ma and pop coffee shop vibe, it wasn’t very busy for a Sunday morning. We ordered the new seasonal nutcracker chai, another type of espresso, and 2 everything bagels with cream cheese. They actually have the little toaster right on the counter for you to toast everything yourself. I only ordered the cafe mocha espresso with almond milk and a raspberry flavor shot. You can apparently order liquor from the coffee bar as well. There’s also a little area off to one side to purchase mugs and coffee koozies.

Don’t forget to walk into the other rooms for a quieter atmosphere than the space near the entrance, but even that open-air feel is a fun spot for conversation. We always love the options for bags of coffee at home and I’ll be back to expand my coffee equipment from their selection.

Slightly small around the counter/ordering space when they get busy but it’s a lovely place to meet with a friend, do some work, or just enjoy a drink. Ive had their quiche and turkey sandwich and both are good. Their drink specials have been delicious every time I’ve tried them. I’m a graduate student so I spend a good amount of time here studying.

I love doing my school work at the Mill, it’s has warm atmosphere and although there are often many people there it isn’t too loud. The dining areas and bathrooms have always been clean when I’m there. Drinks are reasonably priced, their food menu is limited but what they do have is very good!

A nice local owned coffee house with several locations around Lincoln. I enjoy taking an afternoon away from the office to escape and catch up on some work here. A variety of beverages and prepared foods (pastry, breakfast sandwiches, etc.). Can be busy on Sundays in the summer with the nearby farmers market.

Market spiced hot tea delicious if you like strong cinnamon tea. I always buy 8 oz. of the loose tea for home. Great coffee house atmosphere. Relaxed and friendly service. Never disappoints.
