We came here for breakfast and splurged on a few items. The blueberry crepes were delicious – not too sweet, and the blueberry compote in top was delicious. The salmon and brie crepe (with added caramelized onions) was DELICIOUS. Very hearty and flavorful. The French onion soup was pretty good, but didn’t quite compare to the crepes, which were stellar.

This place is a gem. The smoked salmon crepe with grilled onions and raw onions on top was fabulous. The salmon tasted and smelled fresh. It came with lemon to put on top. The French dip soup was amazing. It was just super hot so we had to wait a while to eat it so next time I will have to ask to put the bread aside so it doesn’t get very soft and soggy. The blueberry fruit crepe was very good to. The whipped cream on top made a great touch. I like that they have outdoor patio.

This place is mostly busy almost every day for breakfast but the line moves quickly and there’s plenty of seating for customers. Their crepes are authentic, tasty, and big! You get a good amount for what you pay for. Of course, my favorite is the Nutella and banana and strawberry crepe. But they have sweet and savory crepes, you can also kind of build your own which is super helpful!

The family stopped by on our way to the Coastal Trail and it was one of our favorite meals of the trip. The smoked salmon crepe was outstanding; the flavors between the buckwheat crepe, brie, mushrooms, smoke salmon, and red onion were perfectly balanced. Don’t skip the superb French onion soup and treat yourself to one of their well made espresso drinks. The machiato served in the glass mug was pretty as well as pretty tasty.

The Crepe of Brittany was my favourite place for breakfast back in 2013 when I was staying in Monterey. Back then, I recall that it was located at the fisherman wharf in a small shop that they share with a stall selling nice hot apple cider. I was really into their brie salmon crepe, which to me have a five star rating. It’s been 9 years since I came back to Monterey and this was one of the must go place for breakfast.

Compared to 2013, the selection of crepes seems to have increased. As for the quality of the food, while the brie salmon was still good, I thought the Crepe back in 2013 was better. The Crepe more feels more like those served full restaurant but the Crepe back in 2013 seems to have a more homey feeling. Nevertheless, the Crepe still taste great and is one of the place that offers the best crepe around.

Enjoyed breakfast here on Christmas morning. The staff was friendly and the food was hearty…good sized portions and reasonable prices. They have the best home fried potatoes.

Small, unassuming spot. The restaurant has some interesting decor, but is a bit cramped for seating. There’s a line out the door constantly, which speaks to the quality of the food. I had the scramble with smoked salmon, which was really good. The hash browns were okay. A bit soggy in the middle, but otherwise fine. Coffee is good. My wife enjoyed her French toast. Everyone was nice and we were seated quickly despite the long line. Good place to try if you’re in the area.

Great breakfast, great service. My son and I visited on a Friday morning. The place was packed, but we were seated immediately. I had eggs and fruit and my son had the waffle breakfast. The food came fast and my coffee cup was never empty. Very yummy, clean plate club !! Best breakfast in Monterey !!

I would highly recommend this breakfast restaurant to anybody! It is very packed and busy but the quality of food is completely worth it. I ate a French toast combo and my wife had a waffle combo. Very delicious we were overall satisfied with the whole meal. The hot chocolate was amazing as well as the moccachino. Thank you Monterey Cafe for the excellent and fast service! 🔥👏

Sunday breakfast. Last meal before heading back to SF. I got the steak and eggs, while my boyfriend got the Portlander omelet. We also shared a waffle with strawberries. I was happy with my meal. They cooked it how I wanted it: eggs over medium and medium steak. My boyfriend said nothing was seasoned properly, but I assumed they do that so their guests can season the food how they want since they leave salt and pepper on the table. We still ended up enjoying our food. Really good portion. One thing I suggest improving, though, is the coffee. Too diluted. But other than that, no complaints.

Great cafe. We went for Friday brunch around 11 am and there was about a 20-25 minute wait, which was pretty quick compared to the other restaurants nearby. We were seated at a quiet patio table with a great ocean view.

Service was excellent: friendly & prompt! We ordered the Cinnamon bun pancakes with sides of bacon and sausage. It was amazing and the pancakes were so fluffy 🤤 I also tried the Guava Bellini which was delicious. I glanced at the other tables around us and their food looked fantastic as well. I have found my little spot to come to when I’m in town. If you’re wondering where to go for breakfast or brunch, this is it!

Very mediocre and disappointing . Got the grilled salmon salad- just from the picture the salmon looks sad and it tasted sad too. The potatoes in the salad were very cold and hard, it was clear it had just been taken out of a fridge. The green beans were warm, likely microwaved. The tomatoes were huge chunks. The whole salad just didn’t go together at all, very random, pieces that were cold and warm and room temperature and the salmon was not done right. The halibut tacos — two very large dense tacos, could have been better if it was three smaller tacos. Overall very average tacos. The salad on the side the dressing has no taste. The ingredients are fresh however the foods made seem like done by a lazy person, just randomly put together. Has potential to be better . The outdoor seating area itself is nice. Maybe the breakfast is better but the lunch was very disappointing, and it’s not cheap to eat here either.

Beautiful restaurant with beach view. Service was great. Had regular eggs Benedict which were good, that was paired with potatoes. My significant other had French toast which he described as “excellent”. The coffee was too sweet for my taste but over all it was a good experience.

Best brunch I’ve had in a long time. Classic American dishes with a Mexican twist. Their list of Benedict’s is extensive. Bloody Mary was strong and spicy, just the way I like it! We got the pancakes shown as a starter and they were DEVINE! But definitely not necessary as none of us finished our main courses 😅 if I came back to the area, this would definitely be a “can’t miss”

The breakfast at this restaurant was amazing. The lox bagel and the Benedicts we’re awesome (I had one with Mexican flavors and it was spicy but good). We also had the monkey pancakes (pecans and banana) and this was one of the best pancakes we have ever had. If we ever return to this area, we will return this restaurant.

I don’t drink coffee. My girlfriend does. 3/4 of their beverages have whipped cream. This place had no effect. She was pizzed off!!! They said nothing at time order was placed. Only at delivery. Let your patrons know before they plunk down their cash

Not an avid coffee drinker but we had the traditional ice cold sweet brew and it was chill. Hit the spot and really good. But what took the cake was the sourdough they beak in house. the line was at the door and that confirmed the popularity and the good coffee.

Enjoyable little cafe that gives you a feeling of indoor/outdoor with its giant garage-style door. Friendly staff. Busy, but the line moves along smoothly. Thought we wouldn’t get a table but people are constantly coming & going so by the time we ordered a table opened up.

Food was fresh, flavorful, enjoyable. Husband had a seasonal latte that was really good. I made a mistake… I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and added the house-made vanilla. I typically don’t add sugar to my coffee but wanted to taste their vanilla. My drink was way too sweet for my liking and I only was able to get through half of it.

I will definitely go back, but this time I will make sure not to add anything and just order the drinks as-is.

Place is sooo cute. It has super nice aesthetic. Coffee was good but not the best, I ordered an oat mocha so it was a bit too water. They have the cutest local painted trays for espresso 😍

My boyfriend and I went here one morning recently and loved it. We shared a yummy latte (best one in Monterey) and strawberry peanut butter toast. We watched the worker make it and it was authentic. I loved their peanut butter & wanted to buy it for my own home. We would definitely come back here!

Found my go-to coffee spot in Monterey! First impression: this place has a lot of bike decor which wouldn’t have been my first guess from its name. Their setup is nice. They have an automatic pour over machine which wowed us. We ordered their iced vanilla latte (very popular) and flat white. Both drinks came out delicious! Didn’t try their food options but other reviews have shown they’re equally as delicious. Definitely worth a trip over here if you’re in the area or passing by!
