Been here a few times this fall. Nice place to get focused work done for a few hours. Wi-Fi. Lighting is more on the dim side, kinda nice. Chill vibe. Try the quiche, coffee, bagels – it’s all good. Friendly crew. Quick service. Note: Best for solo work or 2 people. As of now only one table for a larger group (4-5).

This was a very inviting atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. The coffee was good. I also had a shortbread cookie which was also very good. I definitely recommend this place.

I love this little coffee shop. It is a short pleasant walk from my daughters’ place when I am visiting her. Everyone is friendly that early in the morning. The coffee is delicious. I treat myself to a scone or muffin which is also delicious. It is clean and well organized. A very comfortable, inviting place to sit and have my first, and only, cup of coffee.

I just love this place. I grab coffee here frequently and it’s awesome! It’s locally owned, and their coffee is incredible. The prices are very reasonable and I’d say lower than most coffee shops.

The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and polite. The coffee and food are fantastic. I’ve had their pastries, bagels and more have all been delicious.

The coffee shop is cool, just simplistic and stylish. There are plenty of tables for working or just hanging out, a side room that provides some quite space, and a couple lounge chairs. There is not outside seating.

There is metered parking on the street with plenty of spots available. Always worth a visit!

Always looking for a special coffee experience, this place was not it for me. My daughter just found this place. She had been a couple times with hopes that this may be the spot for us when I visit . I had a cortado and zucchini bread. The food surpasses everything else. Especially the staff. I got excited to see that the owners were mountaineers, (I am a mountaineer mom). Yet when ordering and initiating small chat in regards to such. They all seemed unbothered and could care less. It did take me by surprise that EVERYONE that worked there seemed miserable and unhappy . I even supported a second visit , after a 30 min drive , the coffee was good and the service was consistent with just , we could care less if you come or not. So with that being said, we will just take our average of 75.00 week coffee house spending habit elsewhere. Here is a little note to Central Coffee ..Customers still do come first somewhere. So my daughter and I will continue with our quest as it is obviously not there.

Great location and atmosphere. Pricey but expected with location being in the city. If you are staying at the Marriott, there is access from within. Would have given 5 stars if service was more efficient (long lines) and ability to customize breakfast sandwiches (basically warm pre-made and give to you). Cronuts were the highlight!

This coffee shop is the absolute cutest. Latte with sugar free hazelnut was perfect! Sausage, egg and cheese English muffin was sooo good!! Fresh made to order eggs. I love the different seating areas in here, and sections. There’s an area with pillow seats, and another side with lounge chairs and tables. Really enjoyed our coffee and breakfast. Baristas we’re also so friendly and nice!! Will be back.

Very cool place but their coffee wasn’t the best!
It is for sure a very nice atmosphere and environment… however, they could do better with the quality of easy products. Their cold brew was very average

I’ve been here a few times to work, I like to sit upstairs. They have a lot of space and seating options. The atmosphere is cool- Good for individuals and groups, work or social. I had their bacon egg and cheese breakfast croissant, I didn’t get a picture because I ate it, it was really good! Their coffee is tasty also, lots of options.

Would give 4 stars based on wait time and ease of the experience but the pastries and coffee were definitely 5/5 and the staff were nice.

We ordered two pour overs, the blueberry muffin, and the donut cronut. Doesn’t seem like only a take-out place but they didn’t ask if it was for here or to-go and I couldn’t eat the cronut donut out of the large box so we had to ask for a plate.
We were told the pour overs would take 5 minutes, not a big deal at all but it took 18 minutes 😬.

Worth the wait but room for improvement.

They have a 5 star rating for a reason, this roaster/restaurant is top notch. Between the excellent service and amazing coffee, this is a place to go to. I was privileged enough to meet the owner who is extremely kind and knowledgeable about her products. If you’re looking for a cute spot to work or grab a quick bite to eat, this is your spot.

I was in town for a couple of days and wanted coffee before starting our adventure for the day. We got 2 breakfast items and 2 coffees. (25$ btw) Got the coffees right away and it was BAD. It was very bitter and we didn’t even get half way through before throwing them away. They made us step aside for the food so that they can serve the customers behind us in line. Well we waited… and waited… and there was no indication our food was done other than the fact that people that stood behind us in line were getting their complete order and no one ever said anything to us. We went back to barista at the window that had our food sitting behind her the entire time!! Halfway back to the car we realized we were missing half of the order so we had to walk all the way back (parking was full so we were 2 blocks away.) luckily the quiche was actually pretty tasty so they mildly redeemed themselves. Over all, not a great experience. This is a place where if you judge it by it’s cover it should be good but in reality the looks surpass the quality. Go to Amelie’s instead.

Finally got a chance to try Smelly Cat and it did not disappoint!! I got the Ethiopian cold brew which was fantastic. My parents got herbal teas. I didn’t get to try any of the food as we had just come back from Amelie’s so I can’t speak to that.

Service was very friendly, helpful with suggestions, and patient with decisions even though they were busy.

They had ample outdoor seating which was really nice but I couldn’t tell what was going on with the indoor seating. The door to the inside looked to be locked and there was a sign saying that anyone who wanted in could get assistance from the barista. Maybe still a covid thing? Anyway, can’t speak to the inside aesthetic either but I will definitely be back for more Ethiopian cold brew!

I had high hopes for this place. I just couldn’t understand it. We had reservations to eat inside. We had no idea where to go. The doors were locked. We saw a woman carrying a tablet who took another table of people inside, so we thought we just had to wait for her to come back out to seat us. She never did. We went up to a window to ask what we needed to do. That guy told us to go up to the other window, skip the line, and tell them we had a reservation. I did that. The person at that window said we needed to wait in line, order our food, and then we’d be let inside. What was the point of having a reservation if we had to be in the same line as everyone else? When we finally got inside, my friend received her food and coffee, and I didn’t receive mine. My friend sat there not eating until an employee walked by and asked why she wasn’t enjoying her food. That was the only reason I ever even got my food. The breakfast burrito was tiny, but the coffee was good. We walked down the street and got Reigning Doughnuts immediately afterward because we were still hungry. All in all, it was a disappointing stop. Love the coffee mural on the side of the building though!

Second time here over my weekend trip to Charlotte. If you are in/around/near NODA you have to at least get a coffee. Almost everything on the menu is made in house, from the coffee roasting to the baked goods. Everything I had was delicious and the staff was inviting and welcoming. They even asked how our latte was when we went to order seconds. Also if you are visiting with a dog there is a side window to order and plenty of outdoor seating. Thank you so much for the amazing food and vibe! Definitely a highlight of our stay in Charlotte.

I had a very lovely experience. I decided to go there while on vacation. The cats were so sweet! The cafe had a very cute and aesthetic setup too! Sawyer and Robert were my favorite cats. The drink I got was also very tasty! They have cute merchandise as well! If I am ever in the area again I will definitely go back!

What better way to get a serotonin boost? We took my daughter to Mac Tabby today for her birthday and it was such a great experience, friendly staff and you can tell the kitties are very taken care of. And the beautiful atmosphere is just the icing on the cake. Can’t wait for our next visit.

The Cat Cafe is a amazing place to enjoy cats and meet others who like cats. You get plenty of time with the cats and most are super friendly. I don’t like the prices though. The prices are way too high and it’s just ridiculous to pay that much!!!
    ✭✭✭✭ By Trevor B (2 months ago)
The best experience! Great prices at 8$ for 30 minutes of time with the kitties. I also enjoyed the match lavender lemonade. Make sure to reserve your spot early! If you like cats this is a required experience at least once! I also love they make sure to find homes for all the babies! All of the kitties were around 5-6 months. Also the only rule is you cannot pick them up.

Amazing location and great place to set and enjoy coffee with friends and family. 👍👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐☕☕☕☕😋😋😋😋

Menu prices are very fair considering the decor and the location of the place 💵💵💵💵

The coffee itself (cappuccino in this case) was above average 4/5. 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

The Blueberry Lemon Scone was not the best out there, it can definitely use some work. ⭐⭐

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely give another go when in the neighborhood. 😁😁😁😁

I enjoyed a half hot cocoa mixed with half coffee and a breakfast pastry that was delicious. The relaxating atmosphere was very comforting. The smell of the freshly roasted coffee beans and the sweet comfort of the service dog coming to sit beside me at my table. I love the local artist work on the walls and the story behind how they created their name.

The food was really good and really good coffee I just wish they had more vegan options.

Service was OK but some of the staff was a little standoffish and almost felt like they were kind of ignoring you. I’m not expecting them to go overboard go overboard on greeting you but but at least a hello or smile or something is always nit is always nice when you have customers.

The store was clean and it was packed.

This place is great. Love the logo and spirit. Great coffee and empanadas. Ample room to sit, chill, or work. Super friendly staff who try to get to know you. Wish I lived locally to come more often.

Delicious baked empanadas, especially the beef ones! Really enjoyed their iced latte too! Cute spot but gets pretty packed and has a tight layout. I’ll definitely be back though!
