This place was so cute! A little packed at the time we went so we had to scramble to grab a table, but the drinks were so good! Side note, they don’t have a “latte” listed on their menu. They have it down as “espresso + milk” which was a little different. But that’s what I ended up ordering and it was delicious!

Our group got two lattes and two black coffees (one filtered coffee) and we all thought it was great overall. No complaints!

Conviently located on the Pedestrian Mall, a small and trendy coffee house with plenty of seating for the size. A great place to relax, read, or study.

Outdoor seating is available immediately to the front of the storefront as well as across the walkway.

Ordered a Chai Latte with almond milk. The service was helpful and prompt, but the Chai flavor was not as intense as I prefer, but overall, it was a good experience.

Loved the showcase of local art!

I went there once. Now, I personally am the type of guy who like to make his own coffee at home because I like percolator coffee and no place gets this quite right except, perhaps, some old school diners.

However, despite lowering the standards for coffee every time I go out, this place is outrageously priced for what you get. It’s basically a glorified “Starbucks” in many respects, and that’s not a compliment. As usual, the coffee was not hot enough for my tastes and it tasted metallic. The staff were polite/OK enough I guess, but I also don’t get what the hype is all about, and would certainly not want to spend my money on overpriced coffee. I’ll stick to making it at home on my own.

Very cute place. The employee I ordered from wasn’t rude but not great. I’ve bever been the the area and he wasn’t big on explaining or giving recommendations even though I was the only one in line. The maple latte with no Cinnamon was great. The older guy making them did an awesome job. I wasn’t a fan of the psl, spices don’t really mix in the iced drink. Also biggest size they had was 16oz and it was $16 for 2 lattes.

Ordered the seasonal Maple Latte. The taste was spot on and the drink had a very smooth texture. It was the perfect drink for the chilly evening as we walked around

The family and I enjoyed are coffee, chai, and cookies at this coffee shop. We also enjoyed the ambience, the friendly staff, efficient service, easy parking, and the safe spacing of the chairs and seating. We appreciate the wide assortment of coffee choices, and I highly recommend this establishment to visitors of Charlottesville or the University of Virginia. We will definitely be visiting this establishment again.

New to the area and was advised to check this place out! Just had a Cappuccino and was not disappointed! It’s OK to use your personal mug! Kudos for Eco-Friendly! I will return!

Love this place ! High standing bar areas to work, good vibes, although open till 3pm, noisy ventilation/rattling and lack of air flow/fans, one of best coffee/tea places to work in Cville !

Decent coffee – not the best in C’ville but not bad and it’s also relatively affordable. I got a cappuccino and an iced latte. Both were decent. It is a good place to stop in for the ambiance – lots of tables for working or doing schoolwork. Only problem is it’s very frequently crowded so it’s hard to find a parking space and/or a spot to stay while you’re there.

The staff are awesome and the coffee is even better. My go-to order is a traditional cappuccino, which is just as good as you can get in Italy. The roasting house on Preston Ave is my favorite place to sit down with a crossword, a book, or my laptop. The only downside is that power outlets are sometimes limited.

I tettered on 4, only because it is a bit pricey over all. But everything else was really superb. The sandwiches were wonderful, high quality enough that it wasn’t just good for coffee house fare, it competed with quality sandwich shops (better than Take it Away I’d even say). The coffee, absolutely wonderful, the best sort of treat to provide some inner warmth and a smile for getting the chance to consume such a wonderfully taste bud satisfying experience. The owner was the cherry on top too, stopping to talk to us for a few minutes when everything slowed down a bit, genuinely seeming caring and asking us about our lives. This place is awesome, I just wish I’d found it sooner.

Such a great spot for both coffee and sandwiches. I got the Berry Turkey sandwich and a peppermint patty coffee – both were delicious. The atmosphere is really inviting and the people working there were very personable. I loved the decor!

Coffee was delicious! Service was a little slow but it was also kind of crowded so that is to be expected. Menu offered fun seasonal options like peppermint patty flavoring, as well as classic selections. Price was reasonable for custom coffee.

This place of such a gem! The owner Toan, is one of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. The honey bunches he serves are by far the best thing in Charlottesville! Highly recommended stopping in.

Had the chai latte with soy milk, it was okay. They only have soy, almond and 2% to choose from.
The atmosphere was interesting. You walk in and the cups hanging is really cool. As you walk into the back it’s part library, part restaurant and part kid area. It was very quiet though there was 30+ people inside. People were playing board games, reading or doing homework.

I ordered the special waffle, which comes with brie, apple and syrup. I wish they kept the syrup separate so that people could add it to their preferences! The latte was nice. Ambience was same as any regular coffee shop. They have free wifi, so you can sit there and work.

I regret waiting 9 months to stop in here! It always looks busy which is usually a good sign. Coffee was great and I impulsively got a waffle that was the perfect amount.

Milli has been a go-to during my time in C’ville. It’s hard to find a place that’s consistent in the flavor of their coffee. Every time I’ve been here, the taste of the coffee has always shone through – not over powered by milk, sugar, or flavoring – whether in their coffee or lattes. I’ve even had their “adult” coffee with a shot of Bailey’s. They also have dairy substitutes, and whipped cream available (my preference is oat milk). Also, if you become a regular, I recommend getting a rewards account. The rewards are pretty good, and can get you anything from a free coffee, to a smoothie, to a waffle. I’d recommend this to anyone visiting C’ville or looking for a good coffee spot.

Atmosphere is also very chill. More difficult to enjoy due to COVID, but they make really good use of the space they have. Limited outdoor seating, but still existent. Didn’t see any outdoor outlets, but if you’re comfortable sitting indoors, it’s a nice space to study and/or work.

By the way, their waffles are good 🔥🔥

I come here once a week (or whenever I can secure some much needed childcare) and it’s the best coffee spot in town. Not only is the coffee delicious, the food offerings are too. The waffles are famous but I’d recommend their crustless quiche. As far as atmosphere, the shop is a working roastery which provides a very relaxing and inviting smell. People from all walks of life pop in and out creating a real community feel. Finally, if you have any work to do, it’s the best place in Charlottesville to setup a laptop and get to business, or studying.

Oh! all of the baristas and employees are super nice too. I’m always served with a smile and appreciation.

Great place for coffee, top 5 in C’ville I’d say.

I’ve only been to the location in Barracks, so I can’t speak for all Greenberry’s, but their coffee is consistently smooth, flavorful, and bold. Their nitro coffee comes in delicious flavors like toffee, vanilla, caramel, etc., and their flavored lattes are not too overbearing with the syrup – the espresso always comes through, especially in their hot lattes. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Expect to pay ~$4-5 for a latte, and ~$3 for a coffee.

    Not so much 😏.

Greenberry’s is the kind of place you want to like, but they don’t make it easy. The staff can be surly and unwelcoming. The coffee is worthy of a second cup, but the prices could keep one from being able to do so (especially true for sandwiches and other snacks).

Finally, even after a recent remodeling, the place simply shows a lack of attention. Tables are dirty (especially outside tables which look as though they have not seen a wet cloth all summer) and the condiment station is unkempt.

Basic concern for quality and customer experience are absent. There must be better options in a great town like this.

This place has been around ever since I can remember. I lived in Cville for 9 years then moved to NYC and have been there for almost 11. Each year I come down for a visit I come. They’ve got a great list of breakfast sammies. Their currant scones are delicious and not too sweet. I’m now a decaf coffee drinker and their decaf espresso is strong and flavorful. Happy to see they’re still here and I also noticed a second location! Awesome!

Ordered the Vegan grilled cheese sandwich to go. Got out to my car and took a look at it and tasted it and it was cold and un-grilled. Maybe I misunderstood…anyway I went back in and stated that this was not what I expected according to the description. They offered to make another and to actually grill it this time. I opted to go with the Veggie morning sandwich as I had it before. End of the story is positive and I wanted to thank the staff for the redo. Love the Mocha coffee that I get there and will be back.

Fav place we went on our trip. Little pricy but pretty worth it. The guys working were awesome. Very friendly and willing to talk about their opinions and give recommendations. The wraps were so good I came back the next day to order the same thing. Also good seating inside & outside. Loved it.
