    Nothing like Starbucks!
Even my five year old loves it.
She loves the ham and cheese croissant and cake pops.
I prefer the Tomato Mozarella Panini and cheese Danish.
The staff is friendly, fast, and efficient.
The drive thru is usually long, but ordering ahead and going in you never have to wait.

Last Saturday, Dec.3rd 2022, I went inside this Starbucks to only purchase a giftcard for a last minute dirty santa gift for a Christmas party. First off the side doors were locked and a family of five were behind me and asking the question – Why are the doors locked, are they closed? And I was like I have no idea, there are people INSIDE. So I went through the door at the end and went in. I asked the lady working could I purchase a gift card, &that was all i needed. She said it would be a bit and I said okay, no problem. I waited for 15 minutes for her to ask me what I wanted and I said a $20 gift card and she said hold on….I waited another 5 to 8 minutes for a young man to ask me what I wanted and I said again a $20 gift card. He then told me he couldn’t help me but if I went outside and get in the drive-thru and come around, then someone would help me. Not a happy customer. I went across the street to Target and got a dirty Santa gift. Have a nice day.

I really like the Matcha Frappuccinos as they are consistent, don’t tone down the matcha flavor, and they actually have the tap Nitro Cold Brew that my boyfriend enjoys at this location in Florence (we only have two to choose between in our city and the other does not have the tap and has been out of matcha for days now).

However, I cannot give it a better rating as I NEVER know when this location is open or not. The hours are never the same as listed online, they close early at all different hours (seemingly on a whim), and have even removed a phone number from the Google listing so you HAVE to physically drive to the location to either (1) see if they’re open or (2) get the number to call and find out that particular day’s hours. I gave this location an extra star because IF you can place an order, they seem to do a good and consistent job. It is frustrating, though, to want a drink on a double star day only to get off work and find out at the drive thru that they closed five minutes prior to you arriving and they were the only Starbucks within an hour drive that had matcha flavoring.

On top of the inconsistent hours, I placed an online order today so the wait in the drive thru wouldn’t be so bad. The drive thru was surprisingly short and after updating my card to pay, I had only had my order in for about a minute or two before the car in front of me finished ordering. The lady told me that since my order was placed less than a minute ago they would try and have it ready (one drink and a couple pastries) butsince mobile orders give 5-10 minute estimates that if it wasn’t ready, I would need to pull around and go through the line again. I don’t understand what was different from me placing the same exact order online or at the box. The time to pick up happened to be the exact time I got to the window but they said they were just now pulling my food out (the pastries were warmed) and to go ahead and pull to the front. I ended up just going in anyway even though I really didn’t feel like getting out in the heat to just stand there staring at my drink sitting on the mobile order counter without the rest of the order and waited for the rest to be placed with it only to watch someone move the drink back to the window counter… This was just as inconvenient of a trip as driving over just to find they’re closed. Why not just state that Online Orders cannot be picked up via Drive Thru if that’s how it works?

Stopped here in the early morning (so no excuse of being too busy yet). In addition to the overpriced muffin that I willing bought, the bathrooms were DISGUSTING. Worst bathrooms I have ever seen in a Starbucks. Apparently millennials don’t clean.

Now usually i go to ‘ Big Bad Breakfast ‘for breakfast but there was waiting this time so we decided to look up other breakfast places and decided to give this place a shot and I would definitely be coming back here . This Coffee / Breakfast place is cute . Their omelettes are amazing , i ordered the black beans and avocado omelette it was so good . Nice atmosphere and great coffee . Their muffins are nice too . You should definitely check this place out . One of the nicest breakfast places in Florence . The only thing i don’t like about them is they don’t have fresh squeezed orange juice I mean it would be nice for a breakfast place to have fresh squeezed orange juice rather than the bottled one . All in all great place to hang out in mornings , good friendly staff and good environment .

Rivertown is a cute coffee shop in downtown Florence. I highly recommend the apple, bacon, goat cheese sandwich. Not pictured because I ate it before thinking about taking a photo. (It’s that good!) The staff is always super friendly and will make recommendations if you aren’t sure what coffee you are wanting.

Rivertown is one of my favorite spots! We love the entire staff and they have the most delicious food. My 5 year old begs for a grilled cheese on a daily and they always accommodate and provide great service. They cater at our downtown venues as well and always are top notch! Thank you for being a staple in our community. We love and appreciate all the hard work that goes into running a business. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been coming here since 2010. I have loved every experience I’ve had. The coffee has always been spot on and the atmosphere always welcoming. They’ve put me through my college years and still keeping me through my post years as well! Definitely stop by and enjoy them! Especially the house special!

Cute place close to downtown. Coffee drinks were good. There is room for improvement with the service…3 young ladies behind the counter continued to talk and laugh, ignoring us while we waited. One of them was eating icing or batter off a spatula? When finally placing our order, I specified an iced latte and it was made hot, they had to remake. Took a long time to get our drinks despite not being busy.

I wanted so badly to support this place, but when we go the staff are not friendly, or should I say selectively friendly. I had to ask for my golden latte extra hot because the last time it was a little warm. I asked a question and received a short, “No”. The vibes is not like it was before. I won’t be returning after today. I get it. We are all doing the best we can, and we should also try to be just a little bit kinder.

The name is not correct. It says Florence when it should say Turbo Coffee. Even that, though, is a stretch by any imagination. My sister-in-law said it was worse than the most popular chain coffee brand… which we agree tastes like dirt. Three times of bad / wrong orders. Coffee truly does not taste that good. Looks like I will never be going back.

Such a fun coffee shop. Love the color scheme and atmosphere. Staff is very knowledgeable about their coffee offerings. Absolutely wonderful coffee! It’s great hot, iced, and as a latte. Look forward to going back.

Hands down best coffee and acai bowls in the shoals, BUT most of these new really young girls you have working are not good. I call in all the time and pay over the phone so I can just pick up my order instead of waiting to pay in the long line of people that don’t even know what they want yet. (Dont mind waiting if i dont have to go to work!) I was told today that I couldn’t pay over the phone. I simply asked why not because I order just about every week and always pay on the phone. (And have since yall opened) when I said that she rudely said “that’s interesting ” like I was lying or something and said “order online if you want to go ahead and pay”. She ended up saying she didn’t know how to enter a card in the system? One reason I don’t order online is because I’m charged more than if I order inside or call in. Also I have done that a few times before and put what time I was going to pick up and my bowl was watery. It takes me 30 minutes to get there, so I put my pickup time 45 minutes out so I don’t get a watery bowl. This is the second time lately that I have gotten a watery bowl. Today I got there and they hadn’t finished it yet, so not sure why it was watery…barely even frozen and not nearly as full as usual. I feel that they need more training on the system, making the bowls, and customer service.

I had the blue cheese Reuben with RWB salad. My friend had the ham and cheese croissant , also with RWB salad. The blue cheese on the Reuben made the flavors pop and it was so surprising!

    Visited your establishment today.
Even though we arrived unbeknownst to us 30 minutes prior to close, we were treated cordially by Cheryl and never felt rushed. Our Benedict was delicious and plentiful! Paul was a joy, checking on us and refilling our hot tea.
    We’ll be back!

We come to Florence about once every 3 or 4 months and lunch is always at Sweet Basil. We never go elsewhere. Great menu and the specials are the best. Family atmosphere is fabulous.

Stopped here on the way to church. Everything about this place impressed. My wife is always looking for good sugar free options and they had several and knew to check to if she wanted almond milk or another suger free creamer. She loved her coffee and I loved the chai city latte. Super comfy decor and furniture for sitting and talking. Pass up the local Starbucks and get your caffeine fix here!

I had the absolute pleasure of stumbling upon this amazing little mom and pop while we were in town for an event. The coffee was tasty and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but even better was the service. They handled the event crowd with grace and efficiency, and that was impressive as they only had one barista at the time. I was able to witness their interactions with their regular customers which were very personable and light hearted. I am looking forward to visiting again next time we are around.

A very nice little coffee/tea shop in the historic district. They have so many creative lattes to choose from and every one we got were super good! I didn’t try any tea, but will definitely be back to!

Stopped in to this little coffee shop while visiting Florence with my mother husband and kids. The coffee was great! It’s a locally owned business by a husband and wife who are extremely friendly and make an awesome latte. We went there 3 x’s during our 6 day stay and the coffee was consistently great! Would def come back regularly if I lived in the area!
