There always is a long line but it moves. It’s worth the wait. Pastries are so fresh and flavorful. I had Kona cold brew and it was great. The portions are smaller for the price but it’s Waikiki. Outdoor seating facing street was maybe for 8-10 people at most and attracted many pigeons and sparrows. There also is a large table seating in the mall side for those who are scared of birds flying to snatch your pastries. Lol

Kona Coffee is a must visit spot for any coffee lover. I’m from Portland OR where we have good coffee shops on every corner so it was nice to have some high quality coffee while on vacation. The pastry’s were delicious especially the ham and cheese croissant. The goal on this trip is to try every pastry they offer because so far everything has been 10/10.

One of the best coffee roasters in town. They have a collaboration with b.pattiserie from San Francisco. The coffee beans are sourced directly from farmers in Hawaii, so expect to pay premium prices especially for Kona coffee. They have a coffee tasting bar where you can try all the varietals before you commit to paying for their beans. Really great addition. Only giving it 4 stars because the lineup in the morning is ridiculously long. Probably better to go during the day.

Coffee is good but for all that wait? Not sure. Visited early in the morning still took 30 min to get two cups of coffee and two pastries. If not such long wait, it’s a good place to go. The award winning pastry was good. Quite crispy (butter) and black sesame paste was not too sweet. The whole bean prices are quite high vaguely remembering them being $35-45.

Line up is long, but worth the wait if you plan on getting more items than just for your own consumption. My wife and I got an assortment of pastries to share with family. To me, the pastries were better than the coffee. They were excellent even when compared to great bakeries back on the mainland. I’ve had good Kona coffee before and the coffee here isn’t significantly better or worse, so don’t bother unless you get pastries. Don’t get me wrong; the coffee is excellent. Not sure if a single cup of coffee is worth the line up. But if you do just a cup of coffee, here’s a pro tip: line up here and also order online for the noodle place across the street at the same time. Once you’re done here, go across the street and pick up your order where all the delivery guys pick up. You’ll avoid 2 line ups, get a great Kona coffee, and you’ll get a delicious take out lunch.

The line was extremely long, but after eating the food I could tell why. We came around 7am and the line was already very long and only got longer as the day went by. The prices were a bit high, but I enjoyed the food and it tasted amazing. I had the crab and eggs for breakfast, our coffee was also really good. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, save some time and order online and just pick it up unless you want to dine in.

The line here was insanly long, we waited for one hour to order. The food and the coffee was decent though. Not sure if it is the Xmas crowd or is it like this all the time but definitely check the line before heading over. The sandwiches were really spicy for some reason as well. Some of the dishes were quite nice.

This spot has a unique way of doing things. The lines move very quickly and the food service is Lightning fast. I was able to get a seat on the balcony which was so charming and relaxing. I got the lox plate with a side of the breakfast purple sweet potato which were so crispy and yummy. I also got the matcha late. I will be returning to get the coconut toast plate

There are two sides of this restaurant- the wine bar part you get seated wait staff service. On the cafe side you order food and drinks from a kiosk and have to wait in line to enter – you can quickly grab a seat a you wait for your food.

It’s good breakfast and brunch place in Waikiki just opposite to the International market place. Place is pretty crowded with long lines but it’s worth waiting. The Island Vintage wine bar next to it which has ample seating. They also serve similar menu. Most of the food is customizable and have a good variety of vegan and vegetarian food choices. The bar also have a wait time and it’s recommended to reserve a table in advance if you do not want to wait. The coffee shop do not have many tables.

First time here, enjoyed a cold brew coffee with half and half. The drink was very smooth with no need for sugar. The staff took their time to help me pick out coffee beans I might enjoy. Overall a very pleasant experience, look forward to visiting again.

Great service. Amazing matcha latte with coconut milk. Get your caffeine fix however you like it.

If it’s busy and you don’t want to wait in line – order a plain cold brew and walk out in 3min flat

    Enjoy!

It was delicious! Really smooth.. Not bitter or burned. I would have given it a five star but a few of the employees were really cranky and sort of rude to me…

However, a few of them gave me excellent suggestions on what to order and were sweet. Very knowledgeable about the menu and product.

Can’t beat the views that you get by walking out the front to sip on wherever you order!

Probably the best coffee in Waikiki. We tried the Kai latte iced and a caramel frappe. We also tried their breakfast wrap and deluxe breakfast sandwich. The aioli is delicious! Great breakfast and we were able to find seating to enjoy our meal. The shop is stroller/ wheelchair accessible. It is a bit small. The customer service is the best we’ve received on the island. Highly recommend! There will be a line. Be patient, it is worth the wait.

Highly recommended if you are into ‘Aussie’ coffee. The queue here is not as long but the coffee is definitely very good. It’s full bodied, not bitter, right temperature, and the milk is creamy & smooth.

When I visit a new cafe shop, I always get the most basic drink – Café Latte.

Kai Latte is probably the best latte I had on my trip to Hawaii. Their house blend has the tasting notes of macadamia nuts, chocolate and guava. all of my favorite things. The latte is smooth and just the right amount of sweetness, not overpowering.

It was so good that I immediately purchase their Kai House Blend coffee beans.

Tip: if this one doesn’t have the item (i.e coffee beans) you want, you can walk 0.1 miles to the other location.

Very convenient location by the Moana Surfrider Hotel. Cute little coffee shop. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. I ordered the Hawaiian Latte. It was a tad sweet but delicious nonetheless. Coffee is organic. Pastries are made in-house. Will definitely have to try the cookie next time. I had my Latte to go and enjoyed it on my balcony with a decadent coconut sweetbread from the Farmer’s Market — such a delicious combo!

Had their Hawaiian coffee , espresso and tiramisu today (21st of June,22) .The coffee maker (the tall boy with curly here) made amazing coffee and I absolutely loved it! He did mention it was sweet , And loved the macadamia coconut flavour . I will definitely go back and have coffee there while I’m in Waikiki 😀.

Had breakfast here twice. Ordered the cheese and ham croissant, and tried several of their coffee options, including the Hawaiian Latte👍🏽 Also they’re one of the few places open early enough, and not too crowded. A lot of places around Waikiki open past 11AM🤦🏻‍♀️

Loved the Extra Fancy coffee! Bought coffee and a Ham and Swiss breakfast sandwich. Clean and spacious interior, quality coffee selection including coffee beans for purchase.

Adorable coffee shop (adjacent to the Moana Surfrider, but accessible from the road) with lots of charming touches and a great coffee souvenir section, BUT the actual coffee was a bit disappointing. Flat white turned out to be a latte, but that‘s probably to please everyone. Will give it another try as the service was super friendly and there is plenty of comfortable seating, too.

The staff were super friendly! Their espresso (from Sight Glass in San Francisco) was pretty good. Definitely not over extracted. My partner ordered the lavender latte which had a very strong lavender flavor. Almost too strong. We also split the ricotta toast which was awesome! Overall, would highly recommend.

The coffee was really great! The tea was good at first got very watered down. I wish the flavor of the tea was stronger. As for the ricotta toast and the avocado toast, I think that the ricotta toast could’ve had more ricotta on it. There was such a thin layer on there. The avocado toast was okay. The bread used for both toasts was unimpressive. I’ve had better generic grocery store brand bread. I would go here for the coffee for sure!

Absolutely delicious! The salad and lemonade are my favorite. Seating is all outside (most of it shaded) but they also have a to go option. The bathrooms are shared with all of the shops in the area so you will need to ask for the code. Garage parking is also validated.

Located within the Salt restaurant area in Kakaako, great cafe for breakfast! Upscale seating area and small retail area to purchase logo apparel. Absolutely love this breakfast toast items, especially this smoked salmon toast: thick slices of bread, layered with cream cheese, fresh smoked salmon, covered with capers and red onions! High end La Marzocco espresso machine, which produces wonderful lattes. Love their cafe mocha, beautiful foam drizzle, perfect flavor (for me, not too sweet).

Get the lox. We also ordered the ricotta toast which was yummy. But lox Def beats out. For drinks I got a soy green tea latte which was also v enjoyable. I don’t think I’d go out of my way for arvo. But if I’m in the area I would go again. Try it our if you’re at salt.
