The pancakes were good. The steak omelette was below average unfortunately. The eggs was really good but the steak was tough and way overcooked (although ordered medium). Also the hash brown was dry. Maybe it was a bad choice to order 🤷🏻‍♂️

Staff was super friendly and nice.

Was amazing I would highly recommend starvin Arvin’s to anyone who like good old fashioned breakfast the portions are amazing the food even better can’t wait to come back here willing to drive from telluride just to come back for breakfast

Good breakfast place. Had the Garden omlet and spinach omlet with french toast.
I loved the Garden omlet more Spinach omlet was okay.
They give generous quantity. We also had french toast, which was very tasty the syrup was just with right amount of sweetness so you wont feel the overwhelming sweetness. Just right. Also heard from a fellow diner that their Cinnamon roll was great. Totally a good experience.

On a 3 week road trip across six states, this was by far the best breakfast I had on my entire vacation! I had the breakfast burrito and not only was it enormous, it was delicious and came out of the kitchen piping hot. The prices here are very reasonable for what you get. My server was James and he was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu items, and very efficient. My only regret is that I didn’t get one of their cinnamon rolls. They looked amazing!

Passing through and WOW! the breakfast was great. I could not help but eat every bit of my huevos rancheros, even though I usually box up part of my meal. Wish I was back in CO. ; just so I could stop by again. Sorry locals the secret is out. Hope everyone visiting, keeps true to the friendly home town atmosphere.

This is the largest SBUX store I have ever seen. The place was very clean and the service was nice. I’ve seen the other reviews about drive-thru getting faster service and that may be true. We drove thru once and the service was efficient and delivered with a smile. We went inside one day and it was a little bit slower but still good customer service. To be fair, we ordered a lot of drinks and snacks too. My daughter works at our local store and I know the drive-thru does get priority but these are Corporate mandates.

I wish I knew the name of the sweet woman who took our order and made our drinks. She was so kind, and really made our whole experience (both mornings) so great. Also our orders were perfect, exactly what we asked for. Every time I pass through Montrose I will be stopping at this particular Starbucks. Much appreciated.

I went through the drive through today on July 25, 2022 around 1:30 and the guy who took our order assured us that our order would be out shortly (which it was) and then instead of ignoring us -like how most interactions go in drive-throughs- he started asking us how our day was, and started a great conversation, even went as far as to compliment my friend on her shirt. The interaction didn’t feel forced or like he was doing it out of responsibility. He was being a genuine, kind soul and we need more service workers like him. His name is Connor, and he definitely deserves a raise. 10/10 best experience I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. I’ll be going back indefinitely.

I usually don’t have the best time waiting in line for coffee. But today it was very nice! Conner (sp) is a very stylish and kind Barista! He started up a nice conversation while we waited for my drink to be ready. Most times people choose not to do something like that, which is fine but I get stuck waiting awkwardly by the closed window. It was a very pleasant visit! He definitely deserves props for doing things like this!! Thank you Conner!

I’m not sure what happened to this once great Starbucks location. It’s condition is saddening, ESPECIALLY being a “Reserve” store.

To start with, their credit card readers were down, which wasn’t a big deal, until I got to the counter where I waited to be noticed. I was not even verbally greeted, but simply given a blank stare as if to ask, “what do you want? “.

    No communication. At Starbucks? WTH?

5 people behind the bar, all scrambling over each other and acting like their every move might set off a bomb.

Further complaints include dirty floors and tables, unavailable menu items, empty napkin dispensers, and a curt, spastic, and wordless delivery of my drink.

Never underestimate the power of good management!

The absolute WORST customer service. They make the wrong drinks and blame it on the customer. I swore I wouldn’t go back after they made me a chunky “iced coffee” and the owner’s son was going to make me pay for a new drink (after paying for what I ordered that was made wrong – see the pic). But I was running late for church this morning and didn’t have time to go to the way superior San Juan Brews. I ordered a dirty pumpkin chai, HOT, and was handed a cold frappe when I got to the window. The girl with the headset told me that I specifically said “blended with ice frappe” (specific 🤣). I told her that I was sorry but I definitely said hot, that I’ve never ordered a frappe in my life. She proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and asked if I “knew how expensive these drinks are” … umm yep. I was the one who just paid $10 for a coffee so im sorry I want the correct one. They are cheap, not customer centered and immaturely run. A definite reminder that the drive to San Juan Brews always worth it.
Can’t believe they’re still in business.

The coffee and service are terrific! This place serves a lot of original drinks and treats. Appreciate the fun rustic atmosphere.

Our new go to coffee shop in Montrose. Pastries were tasty, espresso is done right for the purist. Friendly people as well.

This place is terrible. Customer service? They have not a clue what that is. Ability to listen to the whole order without interrupting? Nope. Interrupted numerous times. Want extra creamer for my coffee at the FREE bar? Not without warning that they’re going to charge me extra. The drink my wife ordered looked more like hot curdled garbage than a wonderful morning treat for herself. My business will be going to San Juan Brews. Unbelievable service and unbelievable beverages at a more affordable rate. Not to mention the owners of looney bean, coworkers, and family of the owners, go under here and make great reviews about the atmosphere and quality of their product. If they knew anything about customer service and the other issues listed above they wouldn’t have to do this.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this coffee house. The staff makes you feel at home, and everything is made with care. They use high quality ingredients, roast their coffee in house, and all of their pastries are made from scratch. Absolutely amazing!!

Great atmosphere and delicious coffee. Tried their blended snow King and an iced quad mocha. The outdoor patio was shaded and we enjoyed having our dogs be able to join us. Lots of indoor seating as well.

Nice converted house. I ordered a cappuccino to go and the staff were very friendly. The place seemed like a great spot to hang out, study, or work. There were rooms upstairs as well as downstairs and on the porch.

Quick, friendly staff, cool older building. I had the sausage breakfast burrito and an iced decaf espresso. Both were solid! We ate outside on their shaded patio. So refreshing to stumble upon a great coffee shop! I think a bird bath would be a nice edition outside for the birdies!

Looove their chai tea! Best local coffee shop in town. Such a unique store front and perfect place to study, meet with friends, or just relax!

Whenever I travel, I always try to frequent local businesses, so I decided to stop by for a cafe latte. It was very good but the highlight was the location. It was probably an old home at one time, but is now this coffee shop. Lots of outdoor seating was available, much in the shade, which my bald head appreciates.

    I’ll be back.

We were driving through Montrose and needed a light lunch so we popped into Backstreet Bagel Co.

The bagels were fresh and the quality was excellent. The bagel with lox is a must have, if you’re a lox lover like me.

They also had truly excellent espresso. It was much better than most and comparable to what you’d find in a good European café. What a pleasant surprise that was!

The little private patio in the back was a perfect place to nosh in the shade. If I lived anywhere near Montrose, I’d be a regular.

Awesome place with great coffee and bagels. The girls that work there are great, friendly, and crazy efficient. Wish we had a place like this back home
