I frequent Cafe Stella on a weekly basis. This is the only place that I buy whole bean coffee, which is prepared by the owner in-house. Along with a can of coffee, you will receive a complimentary beverage. The best food is the salmon & lox bagel, the turkey club, and bigos. The new expanded space allows so much more people to drink and work.

Cafe Stella looks small from the street but when you enter, the space is open and dotted with tables. It has low lighting, antique decor, and another bar in the center that brings a feeling of comfort.

Their menu is large and can be intimidating when you look at it above the register. From sandwiches to pastries, specialty tea to more common bread coffee choices, your not short on options. I choose the Green Lady juice and the last scone from the display case. The juice was surprisingly sweet with hints of ginger. I could taste the celery on the back of my tongue. The scone had a dab of apricot jam in the center. It was particularly moist. I’ve never had a scone this well-made with. It didn’t fall apart in my hand all while feeling light. I wanted another one but I have to get here earlier for that.

All in all, I’m definitely returning to try more of the menu. I barely scratched the surface of this place.

Got the Turbo Cola and a Cafe Burger. Legitimately one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life, easy top 5. Bunch of wonderful flavors mixed in top of an amazing beef patty. The Turbo Cola was probably one of the most interesting drinks I’ve had. Was like a coffee mixed with soda and the energy of a redbull or two. Definitely interesting.

Highly recommend this place, not bad at all for the price.

It’s been a while since I’ve been truly excited to find a new place and Café Stella is it. A great fresh menu selection of drinks and food and more. Very casual and upbeat atmosphere with different seating for different moods. The black bean burger and the chai latte were simply incredible! Definitely going back when I have room to sample some of the delicious looking desserts.

Went in around 8 pm and the weather was perfect and so was the visit! The place was spotless and the music was great but not too loud. The highlight of the night however was the amazing staff! Specifically Katlyn, she was so helpful and kind. Definitely recommend going! (Also the food was so good I highly recommend the turkey sandwich)

Great coffee. Friendly staff. SO MUCH seating! Honestly can’t go wrong here. Tons of college students were there studying and working. It was a great spot to read. Lots of natural light and great seating options. Husband got the hot honey and I got the vanilla haze latte. Both were delicious and we’re coffee snobs. On the cutest cobblestone street with other local gems nearby.

So much seating!!! Plenty of fun unrelated coffee stuff for sale. Loved all the incredible latte flavors, I wish I had time to try them all! The pastries also looked incredible, but I was already so full from breakfast 😭

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and were looking for a nice spot to walk to on weekends. We each got a latte (honey cinnamon and creme brulee) and split the bagel with lox. The lattes were the perfect sweetness (could be hotter but I’m sure you could ask) and the bagel and lox was tasty; I particularly enjoyed the cream cheese. Not as good as a NY bagel, but a fun weekend snack. We will be back!

Cure is one of my favorite coffee shops to visit in Norfolk! Whether you like your coffee hot or iced, or don’t even like coffee at all, they have a drink for you! I saw that they have a special right now that was a strawberry lavender Earl Grey tea that sounded really delicious, might have to get that next time. There is lots of space to read or study or just relax. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, as well as snacks and pastries.

A nice little local spot. I felt like I forgot something though, because I think I was the only person in the place without my laptop. Lol The sandwiches were good, the lemonade was good, but honestly I did not expect to spend $20 for a sandwich and glass of lemonade.

Let me tell you If I could give this place 10 stars then I would. The Staff is very friendly and knows their information about different coffee blends and more. I felt so welcomed and warm here. This will be regular coffee spot from now on. I learned a fun fact today. This is the oldest independently owned coffee store on Hampton roads. Congratulations on the 21 years of being opened and serving customers with astute and astounding food service and quality. I highly recommend this coffee store and I would come out of my way to come here. Please check this coffee place out if you haven’t already.

Found this place when all the coffee shops near us were closed. This place is awesome! I got the iced coconut mocha with oat milk and was so delicious we had to come back for another! They have games to play so my husband and I played scrabble and guess who. It’s also open pretty late for a coffee shop so it’s a perfect place to catch up on school/work at any time of the day. Whenever we’re in Norfolk this will definitely be our go-to for coffee. We bought some whole bean coffee and espresso beans for the road 🙂 Next door wasn’t opened both times we got coffee however I thought the shop was pretty cool and they have free tampons for anyone in need.

Cute coffee place. Very nice staff.
However you have to pay 80c more to get non-dairy milk in your coffee which I think is a little excessive especially when most places charge 50c. (Which I think is excessive too)
And the place looks like it could be cleaner and tidied better… Not sure I’ll go back

Such a nice local place to stop and get a nice cup of tea after dinner. I love the comfy homey vibe here. Staff was awesome. Wish we lived closer because I could see this being a favorite haunt. Will definitely return when we’re back in the area to visit!

This is a beautiful, calm, nicely decorated upstairs space. The iced mocha I had was delicious and creamy. The staff was friendly and struck up a conversation with me. I was just in town, but if I lived in Norfolk I could see myself going here all the time.

I’m from AZ where local coffee shops like this abound. I love the ambiance here! I’m sitting on a plush, comfy leather couch, sipping my coffee, and enjoying a book I found in the little free library.
Upon approaching the front door, I was also greeted by a cute, colorful, well-stocked free library box.
This is a great place to meet a friend, spend a relaxed time to yourself, or get work done. There’s music to keep your mind while still low enough not to interrupt work or headphones.
They’re menu offerings are simple while still offering plenty of options. They have a small bakery offering if you’d like a pastry with your coffee.
In conclusion, this place makes me wish I lived on the south side of the bridge-tunnel so I could come here often. Great place!

First time here and so glad to have tried this place.
It’s VERY clean inside and even the restrooms are super clean and well kept!
The customer service was also great.
I didn’t get any pastries but the brewed coffee was fresh and hot.

Amazing coffee, cozy atmosphere, always nice and friendly staff, have to try their homemade pastries! Breakfast burrito is amazing, and homemade pumpkin bread is outstanding! Bring you cup and get a discount on your drink!

Great comfortable open atmosphere. The booths have outlets with usb plugs. Music was at a respectful level. Only complaint is my breakfast burrito wasn’t as warm as I would have liked.

No complaints at all! I’ve been craving an Italian soda for days, and I was so glad to see they served them here. I got a 16oz hot almondmilk latte and a 16oz raspberry/vanilla Italian soda. Their staff was lovely and their seating is also super cozy! I’ll be back for sure.

I was greeted properly as soon as I stepped inside of the cafe and immediately felt welcomed. I had the vegan sausage hash which was absolutely delicious! The service was fast and the cafe was clean! 5 star review thanks!

Amazing food, great service, good prices! They serve breakfast and lunch all day plus plenty of vegetarian and vegan options so everyone can find something they like. I got the womelet with my choice of 3 fillings (no upcharge for vegan sausage!) and while it was delicious I had plenty to take home as leftovers. Also the decor and music both inside and out were charming. I will be coming back.

It’s a nice cafe with a clean bathroom and friendly staff! I had their breakfast burrito and cappuccino. The burrito is good with the additional salt pepper. The cappuccino was way too foamy and no foam art….

Delicious food, smooth coffee, great & attentive waitstaff, pleasant music.
Small dining area, street side parking.

Food pictured is the veggie frittata with arugula, pesto and roasted potatoes. And croissant french toast (custard style).
