It is a cool and artistic place.

The coffee is great. They have some whole beans for sale too.

The none caffeine drink is slightly on the light side in terms of flavor, a bit plain.

    The food is average.

You are looking at about 20 dollar average per person for breakfast.

Wow. Amazing coffee and setting on Higuera St downtown San Louis Obispo. Coffee drinks are delicious as are the pastries and breads. Did not partake in any other foods. Atmosphere was very conducive to relaxation and conversation. Definitely looking forward to a return visit when possible.

Medium roast drip. Feels darker than a regular medium but very tasty anyway.

Breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage. I added extra meat but the normal cost is $10, and worth it.

The ambiance for the holidays is great. I came on a rainy day on purpose because I think it adds to the atmosphere.

Great coffee and breakfast, although they serve other meals as well! Staff is upbeat and bright, the ambience has a good mix of art, theming, comfortable chairs and music that makes it all come together. Great place for people watching and the hangout.
The breakfast burrito is flavorful but not too heavy, great for any potential hangovers or feisty stomachs! But truly my favorite is the cappuccino, with great frothiness and richly flavored espresso shot, this will start your day right. A staple of downtown SLO and I am always happy to return here!

Great coffee spot, they have kombucha on tap from whalebird (love them), decent lunch (had a burger), hot teas, cold brew, and their breakfast burrito is pretty solid too (always add avocado). The patio is legit when open and they have about 4 sections of the indoor dining area you can pick to eat, drink, do work and socialize. One of my favorites

I’ve been to Scout Coffee three times so far and if I lived in the area, I would come here daily. The staff is super friendly, the location is amazing and the coffee is always very good. I usually get a latte and in the afternoons, I might grab a cookie too. Last time I got a ginger molasses cookie that was awesome. Unfortunately, my wife ate most of it so I had to go back for another and then realized it was $3.50 each. That’s a lot for a small cookie but it is tasty so I’ll just go with it.
This shop seems to be a strong local hangout and considering just how many coffee and breakfast shops there are in this area, you must be good to survive. This is certainly one of the good ones.

Scout Coffee has a beautiful aesthetic and a cute little “shop” inside their store. It’s very spacious and thoughtfully designed so that’s why we chose to come here.

Vanilla Bean Latte ($4.75/$5.25): I got their house made almond milk which is $0.75 extra. The drink was pretty good at the beginning but it didn’t really taste like vanilla bean to me. Also, you should drink it quickly because it doesn’t taste good after the ice melts.

Matcha Honey Lavender Latte: This was one of their special/seasonal drinks so it wasn’t on their regular menu board but on a smaller menu by the cashier. We got the house made almond milk for this drink too and asked them to make it extra sweet so they added more of their honey lavender syrup. The latte turned out to be really good and the better of the two. You can really taste the honey and lavender distinctively.

Entering the place is a very welcome feels. Very neat and clean. The design inside the coffee shop is relaxing. I don’t feel rush at all. The atmosphere is different. I felt really relax.

The coffee and the hot chocolate I bought was tasty. Love the honey cinnamon scone. It’s a must to taste.

If you are near San Luis Obispo need to check it out. I highly recommend this place for a coffee stop and for coffee lover.

pour overs, house made syrups, and solid pastries. Recommend their “wilderness” syrup for lattes; top 3 lattes we’ve tried! Delicious and not too sweet. High quality coffee from Honey Co Roasters, which is the affiliated roastery. Will definitely be back. Cheers mate!

Super stoked to have found this place on our trip! We were there shortly after they opened and everyone was so nice and chipper! My husband and I ended up doing a little splurge shopping 😅 we also tried their cheddar biscuit, sooo good! Their mocha was amazing too! We are definitely stopping here again on our next visit!

After I tossed my bad latte from another shop, I strolled over the Linnaea’s Cafe for another try at breakfast. I ordered a latte(of course) along with a coffee cake. The coffee cake was very well made and seemed like the ingredients were focused on healthy rather than sugary, which made for a great meal. Apparently, they make great eggs here but I didn’t order any since I wasn’t that hungry.
I sat in front where there is a window looking over the sidewalk though there is seating in back as well. Also, the building is old and they maintained much of the architectural feel inside the shop. I wish they had more buildings like this in Walnut Creek.
Next time I’ll give I’ll stop in for lunch. It’s definitely a great cafe.

The place looks nice, especially the backyard sitting area but the coffee ($3) was horrible, it tasted like the coffee I was brewing several time when I was a student. I couldn’t finish it.
Pastries were ok, they don’t warm them for us though.
Also the place could use some cleaning.

We had espresso here once and thought it was good but really bitter, tried drip coffee on the second visit, really weak coffee that tasted like cheap grocery store coffee from a can. When I brought the order on the second trip back they didn’t offer to make it right by providing other options so we just left them there. The staff are nice but lack experience and no one seems to be there to supervise. I appreciate the one employee wearing a mask but if your mask is so loose you have to keep pulling it up constantly it really doesn’t do anything for anyone as well meaning as it might be. Wouldn’t come back here again.

One of the oldest and best places to get coffee. Love their outdoor area with a small koi pond. Great place to relax, work, or meet friends and enjoy coffee. Intimate atmosphere, welcome and warm. There’s a lot of space inside, and out front and back. Their food is great, and espresso affordable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and overall atmosphere especially the backyard area and the koi pond. The downside to this was the absolutely undrinkable beverages that had me gagging. Went here twice, the first time the iced tea was so weak and bitter it tasted like grass and dishwater. Decided to give it a second chance, my friend tried the matcha and asked for it extra sweet, it was bitter, gritty and undrinkable GARBAGE. The employee’s seemed inexperienced. Right after I ordered the employee said out loud, “how do I make this?” Overall, did not pass the vibe check.

This is a super nice coffee shop with relaxing vibes and delicious coffee. I tried large hot americano and it comes with 4 shots of espresso. Creme was super deep and thick. Great flavor came out from this basic espresso coffee and it was at proper hot temperature. Decor is nice and they sell gift items and coffee related accessories and their brand merchandise. Since this outlet is close by the university, most were students studying or watching videos and playing music.

Nice bright and airy cafe with plenty of seating and college kids working on their laptops. A tad bit too much retail merchandising for my taste, but damn good coffee! The best pour over coffee I had out of three cafes I tried. The scones were also excellent! I’d go there everyday if I could.

The hippinest college coffee joint this side of here! Merchandising up the wazoo but in this day and age I completely understand. I hope they are able to stick around and don’t succumb to the monopolies that are overtaking the world. Great atmosphere and a really friendly staff mixed with good well roasted blends makes for quite the enjoyable coffee joint.

Love going to this Starbucks!! I really, REALLY love the inspirational cardboard coffee cup sleeves. The employees leave blank ones out and everyone who visits gets to write something for a random person. Then random person gets it on their coffee. And all the writings are inspirational, creative, and positive. I wish all Starbucks would do this. I NEED (love) this kind of positivity in my life. 🌱
