The coffee was delicious! The biscuits and gravy was more like biscuit and gravy, but was very tasty. We had a few issues with our service, and the gravy to biscuit portion was a bit much. Overall very yummy!

I had the steak sandwich, it was amazing. The cook was perfect and the flavor was awesome. My wife and daughter had the lemon crape’s, the only thing that would have made them better, would have been a lemon cream/custard/butter. My wife also got the tomato bisque, it had the consistency of puréed pumpkin. It was eatable, but would never order it again. My daughter got the chia tea, she thought it was amazing. Finished the meal with tiramisu, it was really good, and very boozy.

Overall, a good experience and good food.

This place was super nice! When the option is available I always prefer to support local. I came on a day in which there were clearly a lot of people there and only two workers. These two workers were efficient friendly and did their best to accommodate everyone’s needs. Though, understandably it wasn’t extremely fast. Their coffee was delicious though not overly sweet.

I like going here to pick up coffee or to sit and work for a bit during the day. They close down later in the afternoon to convert to the Italian restaurant. The staff are friendly and quick and the coffee is very good quality.

Awesome cafe feel inside. Lots of little seating spots to read a book or get some work done. Smoothies, coffee and pastries. Secret gem, their cinnamon rolls! Best smoothies in Ames!

Great environment! Cozy place to study with friends. Coffee was decent, I got the mocha s’mores. The waffle with berries and whipped cream was also pretty good! Overall, a welcoming atmosphere and a great place to hang out

I never have a bad experience here. I don’t really drink coffee, but the smoothies and milkshakes are good. The vanilla Shakes actually have specks of vanilla in it and have a richer vanilla taste compared to other places nearby. Their food is also delicious. The farmer’s burrito is my favorite breakfast and keeps me filled for a long time too. I also suggest the grilled cheese for lunch. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy and perfect for studying or getting together with a couple friends. There is limited seating so be aware it may be hard to find somewhere to sit if it is busy.

Burgies is a unique setting tucked into the same building as a gas station. This is Iowa though. We are open to what can be in a gas station! The coffee shop is tucked to the side so there are no feelings of being in a gas station/convenience store.

My friend insisted we order the Country Grind sandwich because it’s “the best” and she wasn’t wrong! It was as delicious and beautiful! We were able to grab a seat next to the fire place and make breakfast extra cozy.

She ordered a Cherry Lime Kombucha and I ordered a hot chocolate which I’ve had countless times before from Burgie’s. It’s always perfect. The staff are always friendly too!

Coffee was above average. Perfect place to study or hang out. Lots of outdoor seating. Easy in and out location and they have a drive thru.

Great place to meet and chat. Good Windmill coffee, a local roaster.

I’m biased. I think most coffee isn’t all that great. This is because Burgie’s Coffee has ruined me with some of the best coffee you will drink. The friendly, efficient staff makes for a great visit.

I absolutely LOVED coming here. The employee was extremely nice and the food was great. Prices were reasonable, and the employee even brought my things out to me. Definitely coming here again!

Cafe is super cute with a lot of areas to sit and outlets. The worker was very impatient and sassy with me when I ordered and went up to ask about my drink 10 minutes after I hadn’t gotten it. I was polite and just asked if I was supposed to come up and get my drink or not and she said she hasn’t gotten to it yet and pointed to her long list in a very sassy tone. I was just checking to make sure she didn’t forget about the drink or if I was supposed to come grab it at the counter, I didn’t have a problem waiting, I was just checking in as any normal person would? I wasn’t aware of the long list that she had and if she would’ve nicely said it to me, I wouldn’t be giving this place a bad rating. Sadly won’t be coming back here again because of this experience. I’ve worked as a barista before, I get it, but you still have to be nice to your customers even if you’re backed up. Glad I didn’t leave her a tip.

Seriously my favorite cafe i’ve ever been to! the girl on the phone was incredibly helpful and made my experience even better, the receipt says her name is jasmina i really hope that’s right. give that girl a raise!! the breakfast bagel is so good herb cream cheese is even better, and the snickerdoodle mocha changed my life. anyways, i highly recommend this place! it’s gonna be my new favorite place for sure

There are about a dozen WiFi networks called “Cafe Milo Guest” or some similar name, making it nearly impossible to get connected to the right one. On the off chance you get connected to the correct network, the connection is usually spotty at best. The drinks are always good, but I went out on a limb today and ordered a scotcharoo that was, by the taste of it, several days old. I would suggest ordering to-go, and studying somewhere else.

I’m in love. The roast this week had depth and character. I want to buy every roast they have and take it home with me. Every single time I am there the barista is friendly and chill. FRIDAY MORNING SCONES!!! Seriously worth screaming about. They were amazing. Only Fridays and don’t go late. They sell out fast.

I love the coffee here, and the baklava even more! Their place is looking even better now that they’ve moved up to the front of the building. Everyone there is the best!

Morning Bell has top notch espresso drinks in store. The cortadito is my favorite! Also started buying bags of whole coffee beans to grind and brew at home during COVID times. Smoothest and most delicious home brew I’ve ever had.
