I Love Dutch Bros. It’s my go to place… But I will no longer go to the one on Park Ave. I will drive out of my way to go to any of the others. The last two times (both within the last two weeks) I have been to the one on Park Ave I have had poor service. The first time they made two of our drinks wrong, we knew they were wrong just by the color, since it’s something we order at least once a week, plus it tasted wrong, but they insisted it was right and wouldn’t remake them. The second time there were 2 cars in front of us but no one to take orders. When a girl finally came to take orders she started taking orders from cars that were just pulling in rather then those that had been waiting. We ended up with 4 cars in front of us. When we finally made it to the window there were two employees talking and then starting drinks when we got to the window. At this point a huge line had formed behind us. Oh and not once did any of the employees say Hi, how are you, etc. Just very unfriendly which isn’t how Dutch Bros usually is. And out of the 5 Dutch Bros in Chico this is the only one I ever have problems at.

My new favorite drink from Dutch Bros. Is the Golden Eagle Frost! If you like vanilla milkshakes with dribbles of caramel and other goodies you gotta try this one! Also I gotta say everytime I go to Dutch Bros the staff always seems to be having such a good time and always so friendly!

This is my first time at Dutch Bros after hearing about it for years, gotta say it’s delicious! The best part is because it’s my first time I got a free drink! That’s pretty awesome if you ask me… Starbucks doesn’t do that. Definitely would recommend it to those who are contemplating on trying it or not

1st timer and the staff was hella cool. I was given recommendations for their coffee and an energy drink. The aftershock & The Snickers. Both were not too sweet just right. It’s worth the hype I’ve been hearing about it. One is coming to Hollister soon but that’s the closest to the Bay I will have. The iced Snickers is probably 1 of the best mocha’s I’ve had in my life. Recommend

This is one of my favorite Dutch Bros to visit! The employees are friendly here and they are usually pretty quick despite how busy it can get. I try not to go during rush hour though, like weekday mornings, especially Fridays are always really packed. But the drinks are always good. I usually go with a cold brew when I need something strong, or a passion water green tea during summer when it’s hot. Right now they have a Hazelnut Truffle Mocha and it’s the bomb! Dutch Bros is the best! ✌️

Coffee is always great but they filled the my iced coffee up PACKED with ice after saying ‘light ice’. I asked to have them dump some ice out and they were really annoyed and then dumped ice out but didn’t fill it back up with coffee… Again, great coffee but every time I feel cheated. Starbucks it is next time.

First time at Dutch Bros and received free coffee❣️they were all SO kind and authentic. Such a kind welcome gesture, and yummy too! I much prefer this coffee over any other, including Starbucks! Cheers to Picture Perfect Carmelizer and Annihilator. Yum! Thank you for the amazing and friendly service. I’ve already gone back twice 😀

I like my oats simple. I’m not one for fancy things, but I am particular about oats. I called in advance to see if they sold steel cut oats. They stated they do. When I ordered, they asked if I wanted an accoutrement of berries, nuts and yogurt. I like my oats plain. Oats cooked correctly do not require additional ingredients. When they rung up this bowl of oats, it was shy of 7 dollars. Let me repeat that. Seven. Dollars. I inquired about the price, given that I did not want the other ingredients. They would not adjust the price. To add insult to injury, I got rolled oats. Here’s some perspective: 2lbs of top shelf organic rolled oats costs 4.99. I got 6oz of mushy, over cooked, probably Quaker oats. If you’re looking to get your feelings and ego massaged by a pretentious, over priced, snowflake harboring cafe, this place is for you. If you want a simple, quality breakfast, go elsewhere.

Beatnik- a young person in the 1950s and early 1960s belonging to a subculture associated with the beat generation.

“her long black hair and comfortable clothes are the badge of the artist and beatnik”

I think of a beatnik as a cross between a bohemian and a rebel.

    The good…
Gourmet food and coffee. The people who work here are hip and Beatnik’s is conveniently located off Hwy 99 and Hwy 32.

The bad… If you want large portions head to Morning Thunder, Beatnik’s has smaller portions but the portion is more the right size for healthier eating, you full but not stuffed.

The Ugly…The price reflects the quality of food. Totally worth the price for a gourmet food in my opinion.

My friend took me here for my first time yesterday (9/30/22), and I was beyond pleasantly surprised! I have celiac disease, and she knows finding places with good GF practices and food can be difficult.
The GF bread for regular and french toast was Devine! The John Denver omelet was one of the tastiest I’ve ever had, the flavor was fantastic! The breakfast potatoes with my omelet weren’t my fave, but given everything else, I’ve no real complaints!
Had a brunch time meal and I told my husband that any and every date he wanted to take me on here would be fine by me!

Not so much…Ok going on a Sunday when they’re slammed isn’t a good idea. I ordered the Sinatra. Though I got it in a reasonable time, the poached eggs were less then room temperature. Everything else Luke warm if that. The place is a well oiled machine you can tell. The staff is courteous and appears efficient. I might try going back when they aren’t so busy.

One of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to in a long time. I ordered the salted caramel mocha and breakfast sandwich. My husband ordered the pork nachos and added scrambled eggs. All I can say is wow. The coffee was delicious and my sandwich with focaccia bread & pork belly was packed with flavor. The pork belly was perfectly tender and juicy. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Definitely will be back.

The wait was about 40 minutes and our server seemed like they weren’t having a high attention span day because they kept forgetting things and having to come back often. We didn’t have high hopes for the food after looking at the menu and having the server forget coffee then creamer.

I was wrong. The service was good, it was just a rocky start and the food was excellent. We had the Nutella French Toast, the Smokehouse B&G with over easy eggs and something called a Stupendo. The Nutella French Toast was delicious of course. The Smokehouse Biscuit and Gravy had some of the best gravy I’ve had recently and the biscuit was super flaky but moist. My daughter only mumbled happiness while she ate her Stupendo.

    Great job Cafe Coda.

Best breakfast spot with an espresso bar in Chico! They have everything from healthful simplicity to greasy decadence. Great spot to take visitors. They try to source local ingredients and I’ve heard they treat their employees well. Go early to avoid lines and budget plenty of time.

Wonderful little local place, and one of the few places in chico you can get good diner style hashbrowns that isn’t Dennys. Generous portions, feels very much like the portions my grandma would give me because she “wanted to make sure you’re eating enough, dear” be prepared to walk out with a box or two. Drinks are very tasty, and well made, the lattes have little foam art on them, which I adore

Great little place, great choices in food styles. Wraps, burgers, sandwiches. I had the Spicy Black Bean burger and it was fantastic. Can be very busy so call in your order.

5 stars across the board for this chico gem. I’m sure hundreds pass by this place and don’t think twice when it should be the only place in their minds come breakfast or lunch. Don’t let the outside fool you. Just because they didn’t tear the building down to studs and then spend thousands of dollars giving the building a face lift they have gone the smart route by focusing their efforts to deliver consistent amazing fresh as fresh can get juices smoothies breakfast foods lunch foods etc. Did I happen to mention their ice cream comes straight from heaven. They have trained each employee to make heavenly milkshakes from that ice cream. Don’t be silly by passing this place up you will regret everyday you did knowing you coulda had an amazing meal that day but
Decided to go eat junk at some slop house.

I had lunch here last week and I didn’t look close enough that my large Meat sandwich was an egg and meat and I was hooked. I’ve been there twice and both times, and both orders, were a meat w/egg in the sandwiches.

Read or ask about what you’re ordering. Both were great sandwiches and ordered a smoothie that was so pure and tasty. $$.

I really love the salads with all of the different toppings, the issue I have is the last 3 times I paid extra for avocado to be added and I didnt get it. They used to have good service but I won’t be back anymore. They also have a rewards program but are not very helpful in getting your points in there system. *update* I came back and guess what they screwed up my order again. Really sad.

I ate here so much for the last few years, but in my last few times the food was always still decent, but the cold brew has been super watered down and not good at all, might give it a few weeks or months and try again
