Came by for the first time today and had an iced latte and a bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was a bit sweet for my tastes, but it was great. I really enjoyed the house bourbon vanilla flavor.

The bagel was of very good quality, and I had no complaints.

The service was helpful and the prices were relatively reasonable for an independent coffee shop.

There is ample seating and a full food menu, not just pastries and baked goods.

I will definitely be back again.

First time being here. They have delicious coffee choices. I wanted to try so many 🤣. Great environment in my opinion. In a college area so expect the college vibe. I went on a Saturday morning, so before 11…you don’t have to worry about the meters.

Very vegan friendly! The vegan mozzarella grilled cheese is amazing. Their coffee drinks are great too. Nice little place for breakfast or brunch.

Driving through, so glad we stopped here. Friendly service and patrons, there is an obvious and eclectic following. It’s clear they don’t mess around when it comes to good coffee.

Had the bourbon latte and smoked caramel latte. Wont order either again.
Had the Turkey & Brie and the peanut butter & jelly add porchetta… would order both again.
    I’ll be back!

This place was pretty good, for somewhere we just decided to pop in at! It was a nice selection of treats and drinks. I’m a lavender person, so I had to try their lavender☕️latte. It was so good!! I got a🍰cheesecake as well and that too was spectacular! 10/10👏🏻the staff was always nice and customer service was great!

Overall a fun desert location in downtown cola. We enjoyed a late Friday night visit here with friends in town for the weekend. They were very busy when we arrived, as they are located in a trendy part of town, but we were seated quickly. Ordered cappuccino, hot chocolate, berry cobbler and GF raspberry lemon poppy seed cake slice. Everything was quite tasty, service more than satisfactory, but 4.5 stars for the music volume making it almost too hard to converse.

We ordered a red velvet and roulette white cake for dessert through delivery. We received two big slices of cake and shared them. The white cake had peanut butter and jelly filling with peanuts… I hate peanuts. The white cake was good though. The cream cheese icing on the red velvet cake was super sweet and a little overpowering. The cake was really good. We are packing to move but plan to visit the area again. Kaminsky’s remains on our list of places to go.

While eating at Pearlz we noticed a walk through to a Dessert place next door. We found out that the owner owns both places so figured, why not give it a try as our dinner experience was so good. Regretfully it was in not as good as Pearlz. Found seating and ordered Hot Chocolate, Flavored Coffee and a Decaffeinated Cappuccino, Birthday and Chocolate Cake and NY Cheesecake. Service was ok but a bit cold as were all the coffee’s and warm chocolate 2 ⭐. The Birthday Cake seemed a bit old 2 ⭐ with the Chocolate Cake and Cheesecake ok 4 ⭐. I regretfully cannot recommend this place but leave it up to you to decide.

Found this spot looking for a bakery. I did take out and the sweet lady, Brianna, assisted me with everything. It was difficult selecting what to get. I got the toasted marshmallow drink. For the cakes I got flutter butter, bailey red velvet, cheesecake and biscoff cake. The biscoff one was my favorite. I ate a small peice of them all and they were not a disappointment. The other drinks were so unique I hate I couldn’t try them. Location is good for a 1st date.

Chill music, immaculately clean, and friendly service. A wonderful first experience with this small coffee shop nestled in a gentrified industrial area near downtown. Although the coffee was slightly weak according to my taste, the avocado toast was light and delicious.

Nice place in Columbia for a coffee break. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the seating area was inviting. Maple honey cortado was amazing!

Nice rustic, industrial decor; good selection of drinks, both, caffeinated and non-caffeinated, the service was good.
Additionally, the two study areas separated from the main floor are a very well executed idea.

Very pleasant staff! AND the Maple Honey Walnut Lattes x 3 were enjoyed by all. It was such a treat! Sorry that I live 8 hours away and will not have another one anytime soon! Also purchased 2 bags of whole bean coffee for my host/hostess!

Neat aesthetic. Great location. The snack type food we had was great (cinnamon bun, pumpkin bread). The coffees were great and milk alternatives available. Iced tea was great. Music was great with nice atmospheric sound and volume. It’s in a cool old house, which is a neat vibe but makes for close quarters. Wasn’t super busy when we were there, but I imagine it could be an issue during busy times. Overall great experience and helpful, friendly staff.

We are so glad we came across Cool Beans before heading back home. The coffee was very good and the barista was super helpful and kind. We had breakfast downstairs and I don’t think we’ll soon forget the Farmer’s Market bowl! If you think the presentation is off the chain, just wait til you eat it! Absolutely fantastic!! Grits, eggs, goat cheese, spinach, & bean sprouts! We highly recommend this coffee shop!

Definitely one of my top three favorite coffee shops. The drink called the Perfect Man from Cool Beans is the drink that caused me to start to like coffee. When ever I am in the area I like stopping by to get one. They also have pretty good food if you want more than a coffee.

This coffee shop is upstairs in a quaint little house where there is a small cafe located downstairs. It is cute and quaint and they have some really great coffee ideas. Like the “Perfect Man” which is a double shot espresso breve with Irish cream syrup… niiiiiice right?!

They also serve quick breakfast sandwiches like egg on a croissant and some pastries. You can find college youth relaxing at the table with books and MacBooks in studious bliss but it doesn’t have that “college kid” feel where you want to take your coffee to go. More like you are in the air with young adults exuding promising futures. They are part of the atmosphere.

My one thing is I am totally in it for the coffee, but the food isn’t always consistent and isn’t always good. If they took 100% care in preparing fresh food, the place would be absolutely great.

Hello coffee shop vibes 🥰 cute place, even for people who aren’t in college anymore 😅 diverse menu with lots of “specials” including a candy corn latte 🤤 I had the honey oat (~$4.50) – so yummy! Lots of vegetarian options. Shares a space with College Grounds Cafe (downstairs). Sit anywhere you like between the two floors! Lots of people studying, chatting, chilling.

Stopped by on a coffee break during a road trip and was pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood gem!!

The staff was so kind and friendly and I loved how many vegan options were on the menu. I got a bagel sandwich, chocolate chip muffin, and oat milk matcha latte.

    Would definitely come back!

Everything bagel sandwich with cheddar cheese and vegan sausage. Added tomato and avocado. DELICIOUS. Bagel was nice and chewy–the crust needed to be a little crisper. But that’s minor. 🤏 Solid coffee offerings (only remember choosing the Costa Rican variety). Nice selection of baked goods. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely return.

Very good cafe with a unique aesthetic and interesting variety of food and coffee options. I normally order a cappuccino to test how solid a cafe’s coffee is, but chose to order a chai latte here. I made the right choice, with some small complaints.

The chai tasted wonderful: it wasn’t overly sweet, and this one was just right in terms of flavor. However, it was lukewarm. It simply wasn’t served hot enough.

I met up with an advisor whom I consider a good friend of mine here, and after they ordered a wedge of coffee cake, I decided to order a wedge myself. It was fantastic, aside from being a little dry and also a tad cold.

Speaking of aesthetic, the building used to, I believe, function as a garage, and the interior is a mix of designs with a bare-bones, open feel. It’s great with shelves full of beverages and interesting boxed items like banana-shaped wine stoppers. Plus, there’s a variety of chair options, and places to plug in your laptop if you come here to knock out some work.

I advise coming here – a great option for coffee just outside of downtown Columbia

Great atmosphere. Greater coffee! I’ve only been in the area for a month but I’ve tried about 5 other coffee shops and none of them compare. If you want yummy tasting, quality coffee made by a skilled barista, this is your place! Kind staff goes a long way too! I got the baklava latte (SO GOOD) I drank it way too fast!
