It’s a good place to have great family moments. The food is good. We went for breakfast (I got an delicious omelet). I enjoyed the hot chocolate. They have a good costumer service and prices were acceptable. We singed happy birthday to my son and when we finished everybody in the room applauded. I recommend this place. I wish they had parking lot.

Great food and atmosphere. Right near one of the pears. A lot of places to start inside and outside. The staff is very attentive and the food is very delicious and homey.
    In the photos you have
Cheese omelette, sunny eggs, Portuguese puff roll, coffee and hot cocoa

This was THE BEST food that I’ve had at ANY restaurant. I would eat my last meal here, without a doubt! The shrimp Mozambique was delicious and warm with a hint of spice, and the codfish balls were amazing. The rodelas were also very good, although they left a bunch of grease on the table… The queijo da serra was a wonderful cheese, with a softer texture and a slightly sour flavour, while the queijo São Jorge was milder and harder. One won’t be disappointed at Tia Maria’s European Café!

Food was amazing! Came out hot and fresh… My husband’s sandwich was huge, coffee was fresh and good… The Mimosa was the best I have ever had… So glad we made the drive to come here

I really liked this place but seems quality of service has recently gone downhill fast…ordered my food after waiting for a reservation that was canceled bcuz I texted back 3 minutes late(after waitiin in store for 5 min noticing the text), waited to be seating in the waiting lobby(worst possible seating)…?had my food served once and never saw my waiter again???wanted some water and more food 🙁
Don’t come here if your solo I guess :/ first time ever I feel like tipping nothing as they close the place while I want more :/ am I supposed to yell for some service? She just came by with a takeout box I didn’t ask for?? Then drops the check off and runs off asking me nothing :/ first time I’ve ever tipped nothing and it’s well deserved…highly recommended you go to any other real breakfast spot around, this isn’t it

I’ve been going to The Baker since I moved to New Bedford in 2019. It’s one of my favorite places to pick up a treat for me and my husband. I’ve never had a bad experience there. All the staff are kind and some even know me by name (even when I’m wearing a mask)! I always look forward to seeing what they have because the staff and owner always create delicious food. It’s a shame that there are people who are so used to fast food turnaround that they can’t wait more than 15 minutes for food that is always made in-house and made to order. More for everyone else who has come to love and appreciate the hard work of the people who have built up this amazing European bakery then 🤷🏽‍♀️❤️ Also attaching photos of some of the goodies that we’ve had the chance to try and share with our loved ones who absolutely enjoyed each treat over the last couple of years. 🤤

I can’t recommend The Baker enough. Every single week I look forward to Wednesday – Sunday. I will find any excuse to end up there. The Avocado Toast? Best around. Breakfast sandwiches? I have never had one like theirs. Pastries? Perfection. The Chicken Pot Pie? Amazing. Don’t even get me started on the Honey Peach Mango Iced Tea 😍 Every time I have walked into The Baker I am greeted like I’m a long time friend – you don’t find customer service like that at many places, especially around here. They produce quality food every single time. I have never left there disappointed! I’m only disappointed when I didn’t buy extras 🤣 If you want quality, this is your go to. I’d rather wait 25 minutes for a quality egg sandwich made with love than get something thrown together at another establishment that is basically the same price and produces, well, not so great food. Don’t let The few bad reviews get to you! (Easier said than done, I know!) You know what you bring to the table, and some people just like to complain for the sake of complaining. Keep being perfect and I’ll see you tomorrow! 🤣

My biggest regret about going to The Baker was waiting so long to go to The Baker. Seriously, I received a gift card LAST YEAR and ( mostly a me problem of forgetting about it ) just used it a few months ago but since then have been hooked! We make a point to stop in at least 2 out of 4 weekends a month and literally not one thing we have tried has been bad. The staff are amazing and my wife has had multiple short convos with a few of them while ordering or picking up and they’re always happy and seem to really love where they work. I’d literally stand outside Black Friday style to get their specials. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Awesome food, and worth the wait when there is one. Great business and super friendly staff. Never had a bad experience and have been here dozens of times for breakfast, coffees, and lunch. Orders have always been correct as well as hot and fresh! Will continue supporting this local small business and appreciating the ways they have chosen to give back to our community, even beyond serving their delicious pastrys and sandwiches 😊

Best baked goods in America! Well worth the visit! The sour dough bread was amazing! You know it’s fresh because there are so many workers there during the day churning out fresh goods!

I went to Friendly Donuts while my laundry was washing at the 24 hr laundromat right next door. The young man working is SUCH a nice, helpful, well spoken and truly Friendly Man. You do not see this often anymore and I really needed it on this day. Keep that man working he is awesome!!! And no I do not know him personally lol

Donuts are always fresh and much larger than most other donut shops. Great coffee and they have Keno!
✭✭✭✭✭ By Steve (a month ago)
Amazing employees, great food, decent coffee, but a victim of their stubbornness. Friendly Donuts is so old school and because of it, it takes forever to get in and out. Be warned, they also sell lottery and this makes wait times so much worse. It’s sad because they’re great people there, but waiting 5-7 minutes on average for a COFFEE is ridiculous.

Edit: Their prices have sky rocketed 4 times in just over a year. Breakfast sandwiches are almost $8 a piece now. I get it’s because of inflation, but 4 times in just over a year? C’mon now.

Edit 2: Be careful getting iced coffees on Saturdays and Sundays. The coffee for the iced coffee is pre-made (like a lot of shops do) on Fridays and used throughout the weekend. You can just taste how old and stale the coffee is. So disappointing.

Went today with my family for the first time! We tried going to another nearby donut shop, but that one was WAY to busy, so we ended up going to friendly donuts! Great decision we made, decent service and food and coffee was good! We all got coffee’s, bacon egg and cheese wraps and frosted Bavarian donuts! The wraps were great, filled with real eggs and bacon, they were like little burritos! The Bavarian donuts were FILLED (and i mean filled) with Bavarian cream! These donuts were real donuts unlike dunkin and places like that! I will be back soon for sure!

Straight trash. They rush to make your coffees, barely have customer service skills, and constantly make coffees wrong. They could screw up a black coffee, no sugar.

I am not really sure about food and atmosphere you are not allowed inside building and I did not order food just ice coffee I usually love this specific Dunkin but my coffee was awful tasted like water ..maybe just an off day or someone new made this ice coffee in container normally a 5 star and above on their coffee no matter what kind I bought

I had a medium hot coffee. It tasted old. When I dumped it in the sink at home there were coffee grinds about an eighth inch thick on the bottom of my cup. When you pay almost $3 for a cup of coffee it would be nice if it was fresh. I can say the service was nice but that’s about it.

I give it 5 stars but 1 manager a young white lady is very sarcastic and always rude to her employees who do such a great job so really its just her (The Manager) who is getting this 1 star review i will not go here when she is working ever again

Convenient location. I ordered the Dunkachino. It tasted really good. It amazes me how sometimes such an easy drink, a staple of Dunkin Donuts, can be poorly made. Sometimes way too watery. This was my first time at this location, and they did an excellent job. Service was pretty quick too. Free parking in the rear was useful.

Let me tell you something, I visit this Dunkin’ on a daily basis and it’s not the same.
Well, 9 months ago I gave this Dunkin’ 5 star rating and had a positive opinion. However, I’m not seeing the same diligence with workers. Clearly it’s not the same Dunkin that I knew. Let me tell you something that I experienced here, One day I ordered hot caramel latte which I always order and guess what I got ? Just whole milk. I was like what ? I didn’t order this, I went back and asked didn’t get a proper response which I didn’t like also to be honest I’m disappointed on my every order. I so badly wanted to give single star but I still see hope and gave 3 stars, so please pull yourself up and please give us the same service that you guys gave 9 months ago. The kids who work there they need more training, that’s what I feel. Thanks.

I don’t have an issue with the coffee or food, it’s the Staff that’s an issue. Here’s why I’m taking my business to one of the other Dunks in the City- I frequent this Dunks sporadically; maybe once every other week (I work a minimum wage job and just can’t afford to). There’s one Staff person there that evidently hates her job. There was one of those (what I thought) was a “Leave a Penny, Take a Penny” cup on the counter. My bill came to 8.02$- I took 2 pennies out of said cup, to make up the difference, as I was planning on leaving a dollar tip (I always leave a tip). I look up to see this employee, mask off, jaw agape, who finally said “How DARE you touch my tips! You didn’t even ASK if you could touch that cup!” I tried explaining I was going to leave her a tip, and she wandered away mumbling. I work a Joe job, where I don’t have the cash to eat here regularly, but, Thanks to THAT lovely attitude, I’ll just go to Pope Island going forward if I have a desire for a Dunks.
