this place was awesome! it has a line to wait in to be seated or a separate line to wait in to get takeout and drinks. the takeout line looked really long but they move everyone through pretty fast. the beinget’s were SO delicious. there was a jazz band playing while we waiting to set the true NOLA atmosphere. it’s even more beautiful to take your food to go and sit by the river. all around we will be back!

Loved it here! Visited at 7am and there was already a jazz band out the front playing some great music. The coffee was a mix of coffee and chicory and is definitely worth a try.

Beignets are pretty much fancy powdered donuts but still worth trying. They are served nice and hot.

Come early for less of a wait.

The famous cafe du Monde, you are supposed to visit if you are in French quarter. I ordered only cappuccino so my review is based on that. I am not sure about what else do they have in stores. The ordering was a smooth process, the staff was courteous and helpful however they do not accept card so cash only. Bring cash 💵 when visiting. The taste of coffee was not extraordinary but average, I would prefer Starbucks on any day over this. Although it’s a busy place and there’s line of at least 15-20 minutes.

I grew up here and this location is the best it’s in the heart of the city and here you experience the most of our culture. Grab a bag of beignet, shake and walks the river or sit and eat grab some coffee or milk and enjoy the live jazz music. Either way you will enjoy the history and atmosphere. There are always young servers and they are Usually very friendly as them for some recommendations on other great spots. I was baby sitting and the family was from out of town this spot def kept them entertained and busy for a while. Look at those smiling faces.

This place is very much overestimated. They are so packed and the lines can get very long. Hence, I understand the diminishing quality. Yet, the coffee was terrible. I asked for an Iced Latte and it was a bit warm and tasteless. The beignets were average – you can definitely find better.

Overall, good historical place to go for the experience and vibe, but not recommended for the food and coffee. Honestly, I make better coffee at home with their same coffee beans. Just buy those

Crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. They bring 3 beignets per bag and they are pretty large! If you don’t eat that much, one bag of 3 is enough for 2 people to taste.

I had a frozen coffee and it was very refreshing.

For the Heritage and the culture it carried it deserves a 5 star.
A long line before you start and all the way into the café you get to see a lot of things that says about the history this place carries.
Coming to the food I really dint care about the coffee taste and the French donuts were good except for the insane amount of sugar powder they put on them. The Café is always crowded and hygiene is a bit compromised.
CASH only business is a bummer even at this point in time.

Used to be a good place but they have dropped their reputations. Dirty dining area, unmanaged tables. CASH only (Jan 2022). Thousands of people still love to stop by here but there are many other similar place and better test.

My friend hadn’t yet experienced New Orleans beignets. I had to take her to the location serving the best beignets in the city. Café Du Monde has a few locations in the city, and these are hands-down the tastiest desserts you can get. We went to the location inside the Riverwalk mall as it was easily accessible from our hotel. There was a decent line, however it moved fast. Their coffees, both hot and frozen, are must haves. With how expensive it is, if you are looking to take a piece of New Orleans back with you, they sell a mug with coffee for only $6!

The beignets come in servings of three pieces, and it only cost $3.40 plus tax ($3.72 total). These delectable desserts are lightly fried dough topped with a copious amount of powdered sugar. They are extremely fresh and warm when served, and they are best enjoyed while still piping hot. They are served in a little paper bag, and the trick is to fold the bag, and vigorously shake it so that the powdered sugar is covering every inch of the beignet evenly.

This location is the perfect spot to get a classic staple dessert in an indoor setting with a massive window looking out on the river.

We went to Cafe du Monde almost every day during the New Orleans trip. We can’t say no to the delicious Beignets, those little guys are so yummy, they go very well with coffee!

This place is great, for sure the best coffee in the close area. They are typically busy mornings/weekends (as is every place in the quarter), so plan accordingly, but the wait is worth it. They have a LOT of coffee and food options, so you’re sure to find something you’re into. The staff is also really kind and efficient. Even if the line is long, it’ll go pretty fast. The indoor/outdoor seating is really awesome.

Decided to get me my coffee fix here and so happy I did. The coffee was delicious and the food was even better! My order came out super quick and everyone there was helpful and friendly. There is plenty of spots to sit at, the food menu is a good size and the food was delicious and fresh.

Open late for the late evening coffee fix or a casual spot to hang out. Coffee is great. The most flavors I’ve seen at any coffee shop. Good tea selection. Nice selection of food offerings: bagels, pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast in cup. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Free wifi available. Dog friendly for outdoor seating.

I’m just visiting and decided to stop in after visiting the Jazz museum. It was a really great find. The boozy tea is great, the alcohol wasn’t overpowering and the drink actually tasted good. I also tried shrimp & grits for the first time, after being a vegetarian for 11 years. It was wonderful! My boyfriend stole two of my shrimp because they were so good. Wish I had gotten pics of our main dishes, but we devoured it.

The bakery and pastries are wonderful too! The fruit is fresh and I loved the home made cream cheese. This came home with me for dessert later.

My husband and I came here every morning during our stay in the French Quarter. It’s busier during weekend mornings, naturally, but there’s quick turnaround of customers and it’s not a terrible wait. The staff are genuine and chill. Plus they whip out drinks + food in good time. We got the Breakfast N’ A Go Cup and lattes each morning. It’s all very yummy. I super appreciate all the dairy free milk options. And seriously get that Breakfast N’ A Go Cup, it’s layered with gravy, hashbrowns, eggs, grits, and topped with a couple slices of bacon/pieces of sausage.

We are sooo happy we came here! Service was wonderful. The food is off the chain – had crab & crayfish cake with eggs Benedict, grit & and their special of the day – aubergine layered with cheese & and incredible shrimp sauce. And if you’re Aussie looking for good coffee, we really enjoyed our cold pressed coffee’s with milk 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Who Dat gonna beat this cafe! Taking the local culinary fare up a notch this petite cafe is no second in line to the others. The special today of Boudin & Eggs Benedict with fresh fruit is divine. Blessed by Peter & Paul you will covet this spot! Next door to this cafe, steeped in the hood, is A historic church, school house, rectory and convent, reborn as #HotelPeterandPaul.

Kept my breakfast simple this morning, but Marigny has many unique, eclectic spots for coffee and breakfast. Eleven to be exact. Who Dat is the jewel of these experiences. Situated on the corner just down from the fantastic Peter and Paul Hotel, it welcomes you with outside seating with large umbrellas, a placard of the specials of the day and a door inside to more seating as well as a fully stocked display of delicious pastries, cakes, fresh fruit and a fantastic coffee bar with no detail unattended.
The stations from host to cooks to waiters, barista and service staff are all attended by long time employees. A sign of quality management. The food is well thought out from basics to New Orleans specific items. The coffee is of the finest quality. Absolutely satisfying from the simple to the intricate. They get it right. Even the average, plain coffee is special. Even the decaf. Absolutely perfectly prepared and served by attentive waiters that have personality, skill and are fun.
Being a tourist you can expect a delightful experience. Being a local you can expect your selections and names to be remembered.
This is a well run place full of laughs and characters you’ll remember just like the coffee and cuisine. A wonderful find in a perfect place.

This is a cute restaurant outside of the busy area. They had outdoor seating and colorful decorations. Good spot for brunch. The food was good and the service wasn’t too bad. They lose a star because we all felt they were not very friendly when it came to helping us get seated. They were asking for proof of vaccination, which we did have. But, it didn’t feel welcoming and friendly the way they treated us.

It’s a lovely cafe. Good coffee and pastries. Decor is funky and catchy. Outdoor space available. It was walking distance from my Airbnb so I loved visiting it every morning.

Great Coffee shop. Delicious coffee with plenty of options. I had the slow drip black decaf, I know I’m simple. Great smooth taste and not bitter at all. Dress is casual, Staff is friendly, and prices are fair.

Such a cute, modern looking coffee shop!

From the decors, merch to the coffee, I loved everything about French Truck. The friendly staff greeted us and even told us to take some stickers home knowing that we were visiting New Orleans. What a warm welcome.

The coffee tasted amazing! It was 35 degrees outdoor and we really needed an ice coffee and FT’s really hit the spot. For any coffee connoisseurs out there, I highly recommend this spot. They got some good coffee here.

This place was great. I really liked both the coffee and the chocolate chip cookie. The people were very nice and the vibe of the shop is great. Not all stuck up and stuffy like a lot of place. The young man that helped me is named Joseph and he was both kind and helpful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Such a charming place! Delicious coffee and baked goods. You can sit in side or get it to go. You can also place an online order if you want to run in and out. Love the decor. They have “Oji” which is an old Japanese method of brewing coffee. Amazingly delicious! Staff was also fantastic and very friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly, I appreciate good customer service when I get it.

I got an iced americano, half decaf + 1 pump caramel syrup and added my own half and half + stevia

I usually get sugar free flavors, unfortunately they don’t have any (which is the reason for one missing star) otherwise it was a great coffee and cute shop!

Plenty of seating inside & its clean
